The Kid Author

As chu all know, I like to write ;v;

I mean y tf else would I be on here with over 200 followers and I think 11 books :v

But I've actually been writing for a LONG time outside of Wattpad. U guys know I have dyslexia and when I was little, my mom helped me overcome it. I still have it but I don't notice it unless something's REALLY off like commas without spaces...

But since my dyslexia wasn't noticable, I could read and write normally. In fact I actually red books meant for first and second graders on my own when I was 2 O-O

Tho I still struggle with spelling but hey daz cuz the English language is stupid and constantly breaks its own rules 

Teacher: I before E except after C :3

Little me: >:( *throws the word "Eight" at dem* WHERE DA C AT DEN???

So since I was a bookworm, had a wild imagination, and liked to draw and create characters, I soon developed a love for writing :D 

I had LOTS and LOTS of notebooks just FILLED with my own unfinished stories. The first page would be the cover. I drew it and wrote the title and even wrote on the bottom right "Written and Illustrated by Shafia Ahmed" xdddd 

Oh I love little me ;v; 

So lets talk about my life-time favorite book that I created

GABBY AND FRIENDS :D 

xDDDD the title's so stupid when u say it outloud tho xddd

So Gabby and Friends was basically about this...under-water sea turkey...named Gabby and her adventures with her friends.

OH MY LORD WTF XDDDD

I remember what inspired me to make this and why it has such a...weird main character...

So I was watching Sprout (ya know dat channel on T.V. that was for kids and stuff? Man I miss it xdddd) and it was near Thanksgiving so on the Good Morning Show they showed a bunch of turkeys drawn by peeps and it was basically one of those hand turkeys where u trace ur hand and that's how it's drawn.

So I was thinking of how I would've made mine and then all of a sudden got the idea of "HEY what if instead of feet, it had a mermaid tail...HOLY SHI-"

And thus the idea was born :D yea Gabby's basically my traced-over hand with different colors, two eyes, a mouth, and a tail. 

How do I still remember all this :v

I forgot most of the characters but I remembered having Gabby (obviously), a shark whose name I forgot, a river dolphin named Sally, and Sally's sister who for some reason was an orca named Sassy .-.

Um...let's just say I wasn't that good at making characters back then...BUT I STILL LOVED THEM

and uh to explain y I named a character Sassy, It waz cuz my dad gave me a new sicker and it was a girl with the word sassy written above her. 

I didn't know what it meant at the time but it sounded like a good name to my 3 or 4-year-old mind

And why were Sally and Sassy sisters despite being a dolphin and an orca? 

Because orcas r a type of dolphin xddddd Yep I was a HUGE animal nerd back then (all of u know dis VERY well xddd) 

I also remember this other character who was an old humpback whale and was basically the wise rule of the...sea............

And his grand-daughter was a sperm whale (that's an actual type of whale and idk wat the namers were thinking naming it a SPERM whale)

OH and I remember a sub-plot about Sally and the shark...falling in love ;-; I was a kid that always had ships made out of different animals. Sally and *insert shark's forgotten name* were one of my fav ships cuz I liked shipping dolphins and sharks ;v; 

Don't question it I was like 3 years old give me a break :v

And a funny little thing I always did was name my favorite characters and oc Sally. Idk I just REALLY liked that name. Probably cuz of Sally from The Cat In The Hat xddddd

Yep I liked Sally more than Gabby despite her being the main character xdddddd 

So another book I made as a kid was Never Keep a Lion As a Pet

I know iz common sense but for some reason I thought that it was a good book idea at da time xddd

It was basically about this girl named Lilly that always screwed up and her mom was at wrk and she was left with her sister and decided to keep a lion as a pet. Stuff happens and she has to free him once her mom comes home cuz the lion would've eaten them and I don't remember much about it cuz I freakn hate it.

I got more books to share buh I think imma juz make a part two xdddddd
