I had just completed my swimming training, preparing to leave in haste so I could concentrate on my impending English class presentation. My steps were purposeful as I traversed the pool complex, navigating the corridors. Suddenly, I came upon Jordan, my designated partner for the project."Hey Em, you're looking stunning," Jordan complimented with his usual charm. He had a knack for flirting, often without even realizing it.I chuckled, acknowledging his compliment. "Hey, what's up?" I inquired."Yeah, I need to talk to you," he hesitated. "I'm sorry, Em, but I can't be your partner anymore.""But the presentation is tomorrow," I protested, panic creeping in."I know, and I'm perfectly fine working with you," he began, "but I'd rather not sport a broken nose. I'm going to step away."The words struck a chord of familiarity within me, and I couldn't help but think of Noah. "You know what, Jordan? Go ahead, and focus on your part. I'll make sure your nose remains intact." I left him standing there and embarked on a quest to locate Noah.I ventured into the locker room and found him there. His eyes locked onto me, and he promptly approached. "What are you doing? Get out now," he commanded an air of authority about him.Did Noah Flynn, of all people, just dictate my actions? I pondered incredulously. I decided to keep my composure. "Nah, I like it here," I responded with a hint of mischief. "Plus, I haven't even spoken to the boys yet." The locker room's occupants erupted in joyful exclamations as I moved toward them, indulging in a playful dance and maintaining eye contact with Noah the entire time to further fuel his frustration. To conclude my performance, I provocatively flipped my hair, inciting an even louder response from the onlookers. I closed the distance between Noah and me, asserting, "We need to talk, outside... now!""Uhh," the boys in the locker room mumbled in response. Unable to resist a smirk, I left them behind. As I exited the locker room, I found my sister poised to enter. "Nope," I declared, redirecting her with a slight nudge. "Trust me, you won't enjoy it." She laughed and headed for the girls' locker room. Shortly after, Noah emerged from the locker room, fully dressed and carrying his sports bag."What?" he inquired."What?" I retorted, feigning surprise. "Are you serious, Noah? I told you to leave me alone, and you go and threaten my English partner?"Noah wore a smirk of accomplishment as if it was one of his proudest achievements. "You do not own me, Noah Flynn, never have, never will," I declared, walking away and leaving him behind.

It was finally evening, and I was preparing to attend the festival. I had meticulously straightened my hair and was now contemplating my attire. I settled on a cute lace top paired with a leather jacket. I swiftly applied makeup, trying to conceal the exhaustion that marred my appearance, and checked my bags for essentials, including my lipstick. I was well aware that I would need it.

On my way to the park, I unexpectedly crossed paths with Noah. "Are you going to chauffeur me home, Dad?" I asked, lacing my words with sarcasm.Noah chuckled and continued walking, adopting slow, deliberate steps to ensure I followed. "So, you're playing the silent treatment game, or have I finally rendered you speechless?" I taunted."Neither, actually," he replied as he ordered two lemonades. We strolled through the park, sipping on our lemonades. There was an unspoken comfort in merely walking alongside Noah, free of the need for conversation. "Thanks," I offered. He flashed me a small smile and left it at that. "Well, I need to go," I eventually remembered. "Elle is waiting for me at her booth.""You're participating in the kissing booth?" Noah inquired."Yep," I confirmed, handing my lemonade to him. "Mind holding this?"I approached the booth, where Olivia and Elle were stationed. "I'm not going in; you promised Flynn I'd only go in if Flynn appeared," Olivia objected."But we need someone to go in now. Please, I'll get Flynn to come, just this once..." Elle pleaded."I'll go," I interjected."Of course, you will. Kissing is your favorite pastime," Olivia quipped.I ignored Olivia and allowed Elle to place a blindfold over my eyes. Navigating onto the stage proved to be a bit challenging, and Elle had to assist me. Once I was in position, an odd sensation washed over me. The prospect of not knowing who I was kissing generated unease and caused my palms to sweat. The first participant stepped onto the stage, and I felt him reach for my waist. Our lips met, and the kiss deepened, his hand tangling in my hair while my arms encircled his neck. It was one of the most exhilarating kisses I had ever experienced. But the kiss didn't conclude there; we continued to lock lips. I finally broke away, only to pull him back by his jacket, seizing the opportunity to kiss him once more. I withdrew and removed my blindfold, revealing Noah. I had just kissed Noah. The sight of him so close left me longing for another kiss. Unbelievably, I had kissed Noah Flynn. He offered a charming smirk before placing his hand gently on my cheek and kissing me once more, this time with brevity. I couldn't suppress my idiotic grin, but I didn't mind; I was too occupied with thoughts of Noah."I think you've done enough for today, huh?" he suggested, extending his hand. I accepted, and we exited the stage. We sprinted to the rear of the food trucks, where Noah pressed me against one and kissed me again. I broke away, remembering my sister. "Oh my god," I exclaimed."What?" Noah inquired."My sister, did... did she see anything?""No, she went to look for Lee as soon as it was your turn," Noah clarified."Are you sure?" I pressed, and he nodded. "Really sure? My sister would kill me if..." I was interrupted as Noah kissed me once more. "Wait," I halted him. "What are we doing?"He chuckled as though my question was ludicrous. "Kissing," he replied."Noah, no, I meant, what are we doing?" I reiterated."Oh," he said, grasping the essence of my question this time. "We'll talk on the way to your house." He took a step and pulled me along, as we were still holding hands. As I reached his motorcycle, I hesitated. "Come on, hop on," he urged, offering me a helmet. Although I was terrified of motorcycles, I didn't want to admit it at this moment. "Come on, Em, you know my mom would kill me if I left you here," he reasoned, attempting to persuade me.

Throughout the entire ride, I clung to Noah, at times holding on too tightly, prompting him to remind me of my grip. The heavy rain made it worse. We arrived at a stunning garden, the atmosphere brimming with an aura of ethereal beauty. An elegant glass room nestled amidst an array of lush plants created an enchanting environment.

As Noah and I stood there, drenched from the heavy rain, he generously offered his jacket to keep me warm. We took shelter in the glass room, with Noah occasionally glancing outside. "I think we could wait a bit, until..." he began, his words fading into the background as my mind wandered. I couldn't help but think of Noah, my sister, and the complex emotions that had been stirred. The memory of our kisses played like a vivid film in my mind.Without further ado, I yielded to my desires and threw myself into Noah's arms. We shared a passionate kiss, our arms embracing each other in a fervent entanglement. The world faded away, and for a brief moment, it was just us."Wait," I interjected, pulling away slightly, my vulnerability laid bare. "I don't want to be just one of your conquests."Noah gazed at me, his expression tinged with sadness. "Is that what you think of me?""Noah... I..." My words faltered as he distanced himself."You want the truth?" Noah spoke, his voice filled with honesty. "You're the only girl who doesn't fall at my feet. You make me laugh, and you don't change when I'm around. You're headstrong and even annoying, but you keep defying me, and it's driving me crazy."I struggled to articulate my feelings, pausing between each word. "Noah, I... don't... know."To clarify his sentiments, Noah leaned in for another kiss. "Did that clear anything up?" he asked, a playful glint in his eye."Nope," I teased. "I guess you're going to have to do it again." Our laughter filled the space as our lips met once more. Our intimate moment was abruptly interrupted by a stranger wielding a flashlight."I told you not to bring girls here anymore, Flynn," the intruder chided, illuminating our clandestine rendezvous."You brought me to your hookup spot?" I retorted, a mixture of surprise and irritation in my tone."Em... I..." Noah began, his voice trailing off."Ugh," I huffed, storming out of the glass room. However, I promptly remembered that Noah was my ride. "Take me home. Now!"Noah didn't argue. In silence, he accompanied me home, the journey fraught with contemplation. I was overwhelmed by the whirlwind of emotions that had consumed me. Upon finally reaching home, I flung myself onto my bed. What had transpired tonight? I had kissed Noah, and though I knew it was wrong, it felt undeniably right.
