The car was cloaked in an oppressive silence until Noah's words finally broke through. "I'm sorry, alright," he confessed, his voice soft and filled with an unexpected vulnerability, "I didn't know I was going to fall for you."I turned to look at him, my surprise evident in my eyes. Noah Flynn had just admitted that he had feelings for me. I couldn't help but chuckle slightly, causing him to furrow his brow. "What?" he inquired."Gosh, you're terrible at this," I teased, amusement dancing in my eyes. I looked at Noah once more, realizing he had taken his eyes off the road, instead locking them onto me. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, and in response, I reached out, placing my hand gently on top of his."I want to show you something," he said, his voice laced with excitement. He wore that hopeful smile of his, which was impossible to resist.Noah drove us to the iconic Hollywood sign and spread a blanket on the ground where we could sit. I couldn't help but quip, "So, what? You brought me to another one of your makeout spots?"He countered, "I only come here alone, until now.""Good move," I conceded, "You're still the same guy. Nothing has changed. There's no difference...""No, there is," he insisted with a sincerity that made my heart flutter, "and the difference is you.""You're crazy," I replied, shaking my head slightly to hide the smile that threatened to engulf my face."I'm crazy about you," he declared, his words resonating with genuine feeling. Noah had an uncanny way of knowing how to play with my emotions, and at that moment, I was utterly falling for him. He sensed my attempt to conceal a grin, which only made him flash that infamous sexy smirk of his. Noah had a way of being manipulative, and all I wanted to do at that very moment was kiss him. So, I did, and he responded immediately. Everything was perfect until Noah started to unbutton my shirt, and I panicked."I'm sorry, we don't have to if you don't want to," he said with sweetness in his tone, his concern evident."It's not that, I... I've never," I began, looking down, the words trailing off.Noah gently cupped my chin and raised my face to meet his gaze. His lips curved into a reassuring smile. "I'll protect you," he said, kissing me tenderly, "always have, always will."I whispered, "I know," and slowly began unbuttoning Noah's shirt. As our shirts finally came off, Noah gently laid me down, and our kisses grew passionate.I had always imagined losing my virginity would occur in a romantic setting, perhaps a bed filled with red roses in a cozy motel with a bottle of wine. But that ideal had shifted. There was no one else I wanted more than Noah, and I had him at that moment. So, why not make the most of it? As it turned out, no bed strewn with roses could top that night. I cherished every moment of it, making it the best night of my life.______

"Good morning," I whispered to Noah, waking him up with a soft kiss."Am I dreaming?" he playfully joked, his voice drowsy."I don't know, does this seem real?" I asked as I kissed him again."Could you do it again? I just have to make sure," he said, chuckling, pulling me close for another kiss. Noah and I shared a tender moment, our emotions flowing freely until my phone interrupted our reverie."It's my dad," I said, hushing Noah as I answered the call. "Hello?""Hey, Milly, where are you? You didn't make it home last night," my dad inquired."Oh, yeah, that's because I went to Beth's house and decided to sleep over. I was so tired; I couldn't walk all the way home," I explained."You should've called; I could've picked you up," my dad offered."That's alright, Dad," I reassured him."If you want, I can go right now," he suggested."No, no, I don't think that's a good idea. Everyone is still asleep around here," I replied."Alright, just don't forget about our Sunday lunch with the Flynns. I wouldn't want to be late if I were you," he warned."Oh, yeah, of course. Well, I'll see you soon, Dad. Kisses," I said before hanging up the call."Milly?" Noah inquired, a teasing smirk playing on his lips, "That's cute."I shifted my attention. "What time is it?" I asked Noah, sidestepping his earlier comment."It's 11:00," he replied."Shit, the lunch is in 30 minutes. We have to go," I exclaimed, immediately starting to collect my clothes."Don't worry; they won't even know we're missing," Noah reassured me, pulling me back down, his voice teasing. "Now, should we pick up where we left off, Milly?" he suggested, leaning in for another kiss._____We were late, utterly late! Noah and I had lost track of time once more. We sped through yellow lights and overtook other cars in an attempt to make it there on time.Noah was about to unbuckle his seatbelt when I stopped him. "No one can know, do you understand me? No one. Not until I find a way to tell my sister.""You're cute when you're bossy," Noah said, running his fingers through my hair."Noah," I said firmly."Hey," he paused, smirking, "I promise."The lunch breezed by swiftly. Afterward, Noah went home with his parents, and I stayed behind with my family and Lee."So, you disappeared last night. Where did you go?" Elle inquired, raising an eyebrow."Oh, I went to Beth's," I replied, attempting to sound nonchalant, "she wanted me to sleep over."Elle simply nodded, unconcerned, as she gathered her things to head to the car. "Are you coming?" she asked.I smiled. "I actually want to stay here a bit longer. See you at home?"She chuckled and shouldered the cooler. "Okay, but you'd better get home before the premiere of 'The Bachelorette,' or I'll kill you!""Point taken," I said with a wink. As Elle left, I wandered along the beach, waiting for Noah's text. That's when I ran into Jake."Hey," he greeted me awkwardly, waving a hand in greeting."Hey, you!" I said, closing the distance between us, "Long time no see.""How are you? You look great, if I may say," Jake complimented me, his lips curving into a sly grin."Thanks, you don't look too shabby yourself," I replied, smirking. "So, how are things going at the center?""Things are going great—busy, as always," he replied."Good," I responded with a nod.

"Whenever you want, you can always go back," Jake suggested, his tone laced with sincerity, "I was wrong to blame you for someone else's mistakes."

I appreciated Jake's olive branch. "Thanks, Jake, but we're good," Noah chimed in, joining the conversation. He stepped up behind me, his hands finding their way to my hips."Oh, so you two are a thing now?" Jake inquired, puzzled by the contradictory responses."No," I replied simultaneously with Noah saying, "Yes." Jake wore a confused expression as he glanced back and forth between us."I could pass by there on Saturday?" Jake proposed."That sounds awesome," I responded with a smile. "Well, I'll see you two around," he concluded, waving goodbye as he walked away.Noah's voice rose, irritation evident as he asked, "What was that?""That was me seizing a great opportunity," I retorted, matching his intensity. "I told him NO!" Noah exclaimed, clearly frustrated."Well, you're not the boss of me, Noah Flynn!" I asserted, the tension between us palpable. I sighed, recognizing Noah's penchant for being stubborn and controlling. "If we want this to work," I began, pointing between him and me, "you can't boss me around. I need to make my own decisions, Noah."I reached out and placed my hand on his cheek, seeking a resolution. Noah gently grabbed my hand and planted a soft kiss on it. "Alright," he conceded with a sigh, "Now, come on. I want to take you somewhere."And so, I found myself in the back of Noah Flynn's motorcycle, clutching onto him tightly, enveloped in happiness like never before.____It was around 9:00 when I finally arrived home. Elle sat on the couch, engrossed in the TV."What could be more important than a night of 'The Bachelorette' with your sister?" she asked, her tone tinged with annoyance."I'm sorry, I lost track of time," I apologized, my voice contrite."Whatever," Elle responded, her attention returning to the television."Hey, I promise this won't happen again," I assured her. But, as the past week had shown, I was wrong. I had sneaked out whenever possible to be with Noah and had been untruthful to my family and friends. Yet, to me, it was all worth it. I had him, and he had me, and that was everything we needed.
