I wasn't even trying to sweat the look on Jayde's face last night. But I could tell something was actually bothering her.

As bad of a liar she was, she wasn't too bad at hiding her feelings when she wanted to.

All we spoke about was regarding redecorating, bouncing ideas off each other. But it was mostly me deciding where things should go and her helping me place them.

I am very particular about how things look and organization. I've always been that way. Maybe it was a Virgo thing.

We took a break for the night around 11:30. She didn't even stay over.

~Last Night~

"Are you sure you don't want to sleep over? Now I'm going to be lonely."

"Next time, babe. I already called Loc. He's almost here now anyway." She said.

"Fine. Help me tie these boxes up for recycling."

And with that, we went back to work. Soon after we finished Loc arrived and it was time for her to go.

"Goodnight. Get home safe. Text me when you get in." I said hugging her.

"Of course. Goodnight Willy."

After snapping a few pictures of the progress we had made, I got in the shower and ready for bed.

Laying in bed, almost asleep, I got a text from Jayde finally.

Love She 👯‍♀️💕: I'm home. Tomorrow we'll talk.

"Okay. What the hell is going on?" I thought to myself.

The Next Day.

I was finishing up the last of the decorating when my Pandora stopped, letting me know I had a call coming in.

Checking who was interrupting me, I saw my mom's name and a picture of us at graduation pop up.

"Hellooo." I sang.

"Hey love, you don't know how to call and check up on your poor mother every once in a while? I pick you up from the airport and don't hear from you for days." She scolded.

"I tried to call you the other day and you blew me off cause you were shopping." I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Speaking of, I picked up a few things for you and wanted to come drop them off." She said completely ignoring the fact that I was right.

"If you're free today, I'm not doing anything as far as I'm concerned."

"Even if I wasn't free, I'd still make time for my baby. I'll be there in about an hour." She smooched the phone then hung up.

Shaking my head, I got off the couch and went to start boiling water for some tea for when my mom got here.

About 45 minutes later, my mom called saying she was downstairs trying to find parking. So I locked up went downstairs to meet her.

"Mommyyyy!" I yelled skipping over to her.

"Girl, stop before these people think I'm old enough to be your mama." She said shooing me away and looking around.

No she didn't.

"Ma."

"I'm playing sugar, come give me some lovin'."

I grabbed the huge pile of bags she had next to her and gave her the keys to get us in.

"You didn't have to get me anything, but thank you. What'd you buy?"
