Caylie POV
I have never felt so sad yet so extremely happy in my whole life. The pain (literally and hypothetically) of not being able to use my arm was awful. I cannot believe that after Kate even said I wouldn't be able to use it, it's working perfectly fine. But the thing is, this doesn't feel right. Kate can come up with cures to any injuries, and sustain them. So why couldn't she do that to my arm?
After the joy of being able to use my healed arm, we pack our things and start to walk. My arm is fine, and Ashlyn claims that hers is, so we think it should be okay for us to keep going. After an encounter that included Kate and very angry wasp, we walk along until it's dusk, and then call it quits.
In the morning, we waist no time, and begin to walk. We walk along, and walk along more, before something... interesting happens. Not the kind of interesting you think is cool, and want to see more of or learn more about, but something that at first is amazing and then turns into a twisted thing that is so gross that you just want to turn around and walk in the other direction. But you can't. And Grace notices it first.
"Um... What is THAT?" she asks nervously. There's a wandering figure along just further up than we are. It keeps stumbling, but gets up quickly and tries to go further. But whatever it is, it's making a heck of a lot of noise as we get closer to it. It pronounces long 'oo' sounds, but I'm not quite sure what they're part of. We get closer and quieter, making sure that the thing doesn't attack us, because I'm pretty sure we're all fed-up with that crap.
Getting closer, we realize it's not some kind of creature, it's a boy. A teenager by the looks of it. What I couldn't tell at first, because of the lack of seeing it's face, is whom it was.
"Er.. Hello? Are-are you okay?" Alex says shakily. The boy looks up. We gasp, and Alex shrieks.
Standing before us is a dark haired boy, whose lip is quivering as he says, "Alex?"
The Bruxa path has not done well for Jack either, it seems.
