Alex P.O.V.
Me and Ellie were watching a movie.
John loves Francis and all- but he's blind. Francis doesn't love him.
I told John to be with Francis if he was going to treat him right. Using him for sex isn't treating him right.
"When will dad be back?" Ellie asked
"I don't know" I sighed
"Does he still love you?" She continued to question
"He's blind" I hissed before going upstairs
I heard a knock at the door and went to answer it. Ellie had already gotten the door though.
"Are you wearing makeup? Where've you been?" Ellie kept asking. I saw John there.
"Ellie go to your room" I said
"But-"
"Go to your room" I repeated
"Fine" she stormed upstairs
I went over to John.
"Still blind?" I asked, crossing my arms
"I could ask you the same thing." He spat
"What do you want." I responded
"Just came to tell you Francis proposed" John mumbled
"Tell me you didn't say yes." I said in shock
"So what if I did?" He snapped
"John you're in Highschool!" I said surprised
"So what? In a month we graduate!" He pointed out
"John I'm worried about you..." I mumbled
"Don't be..." he said grabbing my hand. I held his hand. I started leaning in but he jerked his head back
"Alex you can't do that anymore-" he said
"I kn-know I'm sorry..." I mumbled
"It was nice to see you......" he said awkwardly
"I love you...but you're blind" I said closing the door
John P.O.V.
Francis took me to a beach. It was a few hours away but it was beautiful. After an hour being there he proposed. He called me beautiful....so I said yes.
I don't even know if I want to marry him. But he called me beautiful...but Alex always called me beautiful.
"Am I beautiful?" I asked Francis
"No" he said ignoring me
I went to the bathroom and put on makeup and a dress. I left my hair down.
"Am I beautiful?" I kept asking
"No now stop asking" He snapped
"How do I be beautiful?"
"It's not my fault your ugly." He said rolling his eyes
Tears spilled out of my eyes. I ran down the street to Alex's.
I knocked on the door I still lived there but I knocked anyway. Alex answered the door and I pushed past him and ran upstairs.
"John?" I heard as I ran. I grabbed my old black hoodie and hid in the bathroom.
I took out the bobby pins from the hoodie. The bobby pins I cut the ends off of the reveal sharp medal. The bobby pins I now scratched my wrist with until they bled.
Alex burst in the door. I yelped in surprise and dropped the pins
"John!" Alex said tears started spilling down his cheeks
"I'm sorry....I just wanted to be beautiful" I said. The expression on my face showed no emotion.
"John you are beautiful! You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen! I love you! You're so beautiful and perfect"
"No. You're lying. I'm ugly. He said so" I snapped
Alex grabbing my wrist and kissed them
"John can't think that. You're beautiful" he said
"No I'm not!" I yelled
Alex grabbed my hand and dragged me in front of the sink. He wet a wash cloth and gently wiped the makeup off my face. He turned me around so I faced the mirror. I could see all my freckles and imperfections.
"See him? He's beautiful" Alex said wrapping his arms around my waist
"He's ugly. Look at all his freckles. And his nose...and his hair. It's a mess. He's an ugly pathetic mess." I said firmly as I stared myself down in the mirror
"Wrong. His freckles are stars...his nose is perfection and his hair is.....god his hair is almost as amazing as his freckles" Alex corrected me
"What about his dried lips?" I kept going. Alex kissed me.
"His lips are soft and gentle" Alex continued
"And his dress?"
"Clearly not his style" Alex said going into his room.
He came back with one of my turtle shirts and a pair of jeans.
"Now this- is more like him" Alex smiled. Alex left the bathroom and I changed and went back out to Alex.
Alex smiled. I curled up next to him and sobbed.
"I-I'm not beautiful enough" I sobbed
"Shh...you're perfect. I couldn't ask for better." Alex said in a hushed voice.
Ellie came in and saw me crying.
"Dad!" She said running over and hugging me. I hugged her back.
"What's wrong?" She asked
"Nothing.." I mumbled hugging her tightly
"You looked really pretty with makeup" she said
"Beautiful?"
"Yeah...beautiful" she smiled. I smiled and looked over at Alex who was also smiling.
"Beautiful" Alex repeated. I leaned back on Alex. I felt Alex slip off my engagement ring and throw it. I saw the small band go out the window. I giggled.
I started dozing off but woke up to a loud knocking on the door and shouting. I knew it was Francis.
"Stay here" I told Alex before going to get the door
I answered the door to see Francis. Of course
"I'm so sorry! Please come back" he pouted
"You called me ugly..." I shook my head
"John! I only called you ugly because I'm jealous of how beautiful you are!" Francis said grabbing my hand
"You think beautiful?" I asked not fully believing him
"Of course I do! John I love you so much!" He said
"Really?" I asked hopeful
"John don't be blind." Alex said putting a hand on my shoulder. I pushed his hand off and hugged Francis.
"John." Alex said firmly
"He loves me!" I said smiling. Francis hugging me back
"John.." Alex said again
"What do you want Hamilton?" Francis snapped
"You're a monster!" Alex yelled at Francis
"Baby get in the car, I'll be there in a minute" Francis whispered
"No! I don't want you to hurt Alex!" I said "I'll handle it.."
"Ok.." Francis grumbled
"See ya tomorrow at school!" I kissed him before he left
"John!"
"He loves me!"
"He hurt you." Alex snapped
"So have you!"
"John..."
"What?!"
"John please!" He begged
"What?! What do you want?!!" I continued to snap
"John Francis doesn't treat you right! Please come back.."Alex went on
"No."
"John!"
"No!"
Alex started tearing up
"Fine! When you and Francis don't work out don't come crying to me to take you back! I'm done with you!" Alex snapped
"Fine!!" I retorted running upstairs.
