~Your POV~

I rush over to the King's common room. Paul opens the door for me.

"Pardon me for interrupting, but I would like to speak with you, your majesty."

"Of course, Y/n, sit down. What would you like? And as I said before, call me father."

"Ah, Yes. Um, I do not wish for any more suitors."

"Why? Did you like this first one the most?"

"No, he almost took my virginity."

"Paul, have him executed tomorrow morning."

"Yes sir."

King George looks at me again. "I will have you sleep in my room. I have an extra bed in there because it is so large. Shall I have a maid bathe you?"

"No, I wouldn't want to put you through the trouble or caring for me. I should be fine."

"Y/n, I wish for you to be safe. Paul, cancel all suitor meetings that I had arranged."

"Of course, you majesty."

Paul walks out of the room.

"Now, Y/n, I'd like to know, have you met any patriots?"

"Well, a few, yes."

"Do you care for them? Is this why you don't want any suitors?"

"I do not want any more suitors because of what happened earlier. This has nothing to do with my relations overseas." I ignore the first question.

"Have they treated you well? I assume that you haven't gotten with any American, right?"

"No, father, I haven't. And they have treated me and my siblings very kindly."

"Good to know. I forbid you from getting with any American unless I know of them."

"Of course, father." I look at my feet, thinking of John and Laf.

"Now, I'd like to erase your memories of these imbeciles, so you won't be returning to America until after the war is won."

"Sir, I have friends. They do not support the patriots, though."

"You may write a letter to them. What is their last name?"

"The Schuylers."

"Ah, I remember that family. Yes, yes, you may write a letter to them. Tell the girls that I'd love to meet them. They have become beautiful young ladies, have they not? About your age, I presume."

"Yes. They are stunning and are very kind."

"Here, I have parchment and a quill right here. The ink should be in the back of my office. You may write it there. Once you are done, my dear, we can just lay around and talk."

"Yes, thank you, father."

I walk into the king's office and start to write.

Dearest Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy,
I will not be returning from Britain for some time. The king states that I shall return after the war. Please tell Lafayette, Aaron and John that I miss them with all my heart. Hercules and Alexander, too. Stay safe, all of you. And whoever courts little Alex, please tell him to not mess up or I'll tell the king to send a battalion after him. Also, the king states that I cannot court or marry any American. Please tell John and Laf that. They'll probably be heartbroken, but I'll always love them within my heart. If I don't see one of you guys when I get back, I will truly be traumatized, so please stay well.
-Your friend, Y/n

I sigh as I finish the letter. Laf, John, and Aaron won't like hearing this. And I know the Schuylers will bug me about my relationship with John and Laf once I get back. I just hope that they'll still be alive.

"I have finished the letter." I tell the king, putting a seal on the envelope and handing it to him.

"Paul!" He hollers.

Paul walks in. "Yes, sir?"

"Please deliver this letter. It is for the Schuylers in America. Make sure the letter is safe. After that, we can have some fun, just the two of us." The king winks, making Paul blush, scrambling away.

"Father, if you don't mind me asking, are you and Paul close?"

"Yes, why do you ask?"

"I mean, in a sexual way."

"Oh. As long as you can keep a secret, yes. He got a tad jealous when you arrived."

"I have no intentions of doing anything against this. I support it, truly."

"You mean it? Y/n, you were always my favorite child."

"I'm not your... Nevermind."
