~Your POV~

Eliza opens the door, a look of confusion on her face. She smiles at me, ushering is in.

"Y/n! It's been so long! And Alexander, you came!"

"Alexander here wanted to speak with you. He's not stopped talking about you." I wink, walking to little Philip and little Angie.

Philip is reading a book to Angie. They're both on the couch. I sit next to Philip, looking over his shoulder.

"Aunt Y/n!" He gives me a huge hug.

"Auntie Y/n!" Angie tries to say, messing up a few letters.

"Philip! Angie! How are my two favorite mini-Hamiltons?"

"I'm going to school now! I can read!" Philip says proudly.

"I wanna read!" Angie complains.

"I'll teach you how to read. Just wait another year or so, okay Angie?"

"Okay..."

"And Philip, how is school? You've been working hard, I presume."

"Yep! Momma says that I'm gonna be just as smart as papa soon!"

I chuckle at his enthusiasm. "You most definitely will be!" I hear shouts in the other room. "I'm going to be right back. Keep reading, Philip!"

"Okay, Aunt Y/n!" They both say.

I smile at them before walking into the room where I left Eliza and Alex in.

"Alexander, how could you!?"

"Liz-"

"DO NOT CALL ME THAT!"

"Guys, please stop fighting." I tell them both.

They look at me in shock.

"Y/n... I'm so sorry you had to hear that. You've been through a lot, lately..."

"Y/n, I didn't mean to lose my temper. I apologize."

"Both or you are giving me a headache! Alex didn't mean to do anything, and he agreed to tell you. He stopped his work to tell you! Doesn't that mean something?"

"Yeah. That he was too self-centered to notice that he loved me more than his work until it all backfired." Eliza snapped, glaring at Alex.

"Hey! What'd I just say about fighting?"

"Please, Eliza, just forgive me? You don't have to bare any more of my children. You don't have to even love me. Just please, please forgive me."

"No. I'm not going to forgive you within a five minute time span."

"Alright. I'll give you time. You can decide when you want to see me."

"Y/n, would you like to stay for the summer?"

"I can't. I'm engaged and we were going to have the wedding in June. Maybe after it."

"Ooh! Lafayette proposed! Good for you two! I'm so excited for the wedding!" Eliza squeals.

"Can Alex stay upstate? I don't want him to stay buried in work all the time. It's not healthy." I shoot him a glare.

"Just for the children's sake, I'll say yes. But you are NOT sleeping in the same bed as me!"

"Of course. I understand. I'll take the couch if I need to."

"Alexander, is that you?" I hear another Schuyler ask. Angelica rushed down the stairs. "Y/n! Oh, how I've missed you! How've you been? Who gave you that ring? When's the wedding? Am I invited?"
