It was midnight.
It was dark.
Pitch black.

But she went out.
She escaped.
She had to.

She had to be free.
She couldn't take it.
She needed it.
She hated it.
She loathed it.

She loathed being locked up.

So she snuck out to the terrace.
She snuck out to their garden.

It was there that she saw him.

She ran to embrace him.

But before she could even go near, he disappeared.

And she started crying.
She broke down.

And she remembered.
He was gone.
He had left her.
He had left them.

She wanted him.
She needed him.

But he was gone.
He had taken his own line. 

And she desperately wished that he was still with them.
