Meanwhile, at Jade Mountain Academy...
"Am I a horrible dragon for completely forgetting my cousin goes to this school?" Rin asked.
"You have a cousin?" Parrot questioned.
"....I have TWO cousins." Rin reminded him.
"Well, I know you're not talking about me," Apple insisted. "So you forgot about Stream?"
"Who's Stream?" Ray asked.
"Our Aunt Seashell's daughter." Ander explained. "No mas importante."
"Not true!" Rin exclaimed. "She is important!"
"How?" Ember asked. "And why did you remember her NOW, as opposed to the beginning of the year?"
"That's what I'm getting to!" Rin declared. "Because, Permafrost, I have a new ship for you."
"You WHAT!!!" Permafrost launched herself over the group, shoved Parrot out of the way, and stopped two inches before Rin's face. "TELL ME EVERYTHING."
"Well, you guys know Cypress's little sister, Willow?"
"Yeah," they replied in unison.
"Well, I went to the library, and found her kissing Stream by one of the scroll racks." Rin said smugly. Permafrost gasped violently.
"OMM MY FIRST NO-STRAIGHT SHIP!" she yelled. "I need a ship name. NOW. Oooooooooh, I bet this is adorable!!! Willow is so cute! Now I need to meet Stream and-"
Permafrost's rambling continued as the rest of the group rolled their eyes.
"Wait, this is your first non-straight ship?" Stardust questioned. "Does this mean we're all straight?" Permafrost snorted.
"Uh, NO." she declared. "Technically, I'm pan."
"Wait really?" Ray questioned. "I never knew that."
"I'm bi." Rin offered.
"You are?" Parrot said in surprise.
"Yeah." She replied.
"I always thought that was obvious." Ander insisted.
"Wait...." Parrot wondered out loud, thinking. "Have you ever kissed a girl?"
"I'll never tell." Rin offered, winking at him. Parrot glanced over at Ander, who nodded.
"Cool." Parrot offered.
"The more you know...." Ray said ominously. They laughed, and then Ander stopped suddenly, the stars whispering in her head.
"Ray." She hissed. "There's been a twist in the vine." Ray paused, listening as well.
"How long do we have?" He murmured.
"Minutes." she whispered. The others had noticed at this point, and were exchanging glances.
"Guys?" Rin asked. "Everything okay?"
"You need to hide." Ander announced. "Now."
"What?" Permafrost asked. "Why?"
"Not you," Ander waved her off. "Everyone related to the group that infiltrated the Sting."
"What?" Ember repeated.
"Rin, Ember, Apple, Stream, Willow and the rest of Cypress's siblings." Ray explained.
"They're coming for you." Ander offered, her eyes looking strange as the stars screamed warnings.
"We have to hide you, NOW." Ray urged. Rin nodded and the others followed suit, taking off down the hall.
"I'll warn those not present." Ander insisted. "You hide the others."
"Mea, be careful." Ray pleaded. "They're after you too."
"I will, mi amore." She promised, darting down another hall as Ray led the others to a cave at the very back of the school so they could hide.
Ander ended up at Sunny's office, slamming into the room.
"Sunny!" she announced. The hybrid glanced up.
"Meander? What's wrong?" Sunny questioned, internally cursing as she knew another disaster was coming her way.
"I need to borrow your Dream Visitor."
"That's not allowed, but I can send a messa-" Ander shoved Sunny against the wall, looking slightly rabid.
"DO YOU WANT YOUR SECRET LOVER BOYFRIEND TO DIE?!!!?" she yelled. "NO? I DIDN'T THINK SO, YOU INSCIUS TESTUDO GRAECA!"
Sunny's eyes were wide as she pointed to a desk drawer.
"Gracias senorita! Your breaking of school rules will save dozens of vitae." Ander offered, snatching up the Dream visitor and leaving the room with a bewildered-looking Sunny.
