It wasn't often that Harry had heard Simon embarrassed. Or falter over his words. Simon usually took everything in his stride. It wasn't a persona, what you saw on TV. He really was – always - that confident. But not now. Harry was scuffing the toe of his cowboy boot against the low wall bordering the entrance to the restaurant, his frown hidden by the sunglasses, hat and head held low.

"I - I'm still convinced they photoshopped it somehow," Simon was starting. "Because... " he stopped. "Harry, I – I truly don't know how to say this..." His voice trailed off.

Harry spoke next; and when he did his voice was as flat and stony as the sidewalk:

"You don't have to."
