Ch. 3 Getting To Know Me More

Sofia POV
So we went to the living room to hangout some more. I'm sitting beside daddy.

Avi: Sofia can we ask you some more questions so that we can get to know you more?
Sofia: Sure.
Mitch: Let me go first. What's your favorite color?
Sofia: Purple, pink, and blue.
Kirstin: My turn. What's your favorite food?
Sofia: Pizza, ice cream, international foods.
Kevin: So I'll know next time to make you some Nigerian food.
Sofia: I also love to cook.
Kirstin: OMG! I love to cook too. I officially love you.

I ran and gave Kirstin a hug. She hugs me back.

Sofia: Is it okay if I call you Aunt Kirstie?
Kirstin: Of course, sweetie.

I looked over to Avi, Scott, and Mitch.

Sofia: And can I call you guys Uncle Avi, Uncle Scottie, Auntie Mitch?
Avi, Scott, and Mitch: Yeah.
Mitch: This calls for a group hug.

We all hugged. I love them so much.

Sofia: I love you guys.
Kevin: And we love you.
Avi: I have one question. Can you sing to us a little bit?
Sofia: I don't know.
Kevin: Come on. I really want to here you.
Sofia: Okay. Here I go.

They all clapped for me.

Mitch: You sound amazing.
Kirstin: You have an incredible voice.
Sofia: Thanks guys.
Kevin: See? Told you.

So they asked me some more questions.

Kevin POV
I'm curious what Mrs. Johnson meant by saying that Sofia has had a hard time. I should wait to ask her.
Scott looks at his phone.

Scott: I didn't realize how late it is.
Mitch: Me either.
Kirstin: Well, looks like we gotta head out guys. It's was so good to see you Sofia.
Scott and Mitch: Yeah.
Sofia: You too Aunt Kirstie, Uncle Scottie, and Auntie Mitch.
Kirstin: See you guys later.

So Kirstin, Scott, and Mitch left. Avi and I go in the kitchen to clean up. Sofia is sitting on the counter.

Kevin: It's almost your bed time. Go upstairs, take a bath, and I'll be there to tuck you in.
Sofia: Okay daddy. Good night Uncle Avi.
Avi: Good night little dragon.
Sofia: Little dragon?
Avi: Yeah that's a new nickname that I have for you.
Sofia: I dig it.
Avi: Can I have a hug before you go to bed?
Sofia: Sure.

Sofia gives Avi a hug and she goes upstairs.

Avi: She's adorable.
Kevin: She really is. Also, when I signing the papers to adopt her the lady told me that Sofia has had a hard time. I'm curious to what it is.
Avi: Well, you should wait a little bit longer. Don't ask her right away.
Kevin: Right. I don't wanna upset her.
Avi: You won't. She's a great girl and you are great dad.
Kevin: Thanks man.

So after we finished cleaning I went to tuck Sofia into bed, Avi went to his room.

Sofia POV
I finished bathing and I got into bed. Then daddy walks in and sits on the bed.

Kevin: Hey kiddo.
Sofia: Hi daddy.

I can tell daddy looked worried.

Sofia: Dad, are you okay?
Kevin: Yeah why?
Sofia: You look worried.
Kevin: Oh, I'm fine.
Sofia: Are you sure? You can tell me.

I get out of bed and sat next to him.

Kevin: I have a lot on my mind. Don't worry I'm okay.

He gives me a kiss on my forehead. He puts me back in bed.

Sofia: Daddy?
Kevin: Yes sweetie.
Sofia: Do you think that Aunt Kirstie can take me shopping?
Kevin: Of course, she can. Let me text her right now.

So daddy texts Aunt Kirstie.

Kevin: She said she would love to. She'll come get you tomorrow morning.
Sofia: Yay!
Kevin: Okay, get some sleep. Good night Sofia.
Sofia: Good night daddy. I love you.
Kevin: I love you too, kiddo.

So daddy turns off the lights and I fall asleep. This has been great. Pentatonix is now my new family.
