Ch. 15 Helping Daddy

Kevin POV
So we finished our tour and we finally made it home. And I already know that I have to figure out how I'm gonna do this date with Kirstin. I don't think anyone knows yet.

Sofia: Daddy, are you okay? What's wrong?

I pick up Sofia and sit her on my lap.

Kevin: Umm...Sofia, daddy's trying to figure out how to plan something.
Sofia: I can help.

Avi POV
Kevin is trying to plan something. What could it be that he's trying to plan?
Then it hit me.

Avi: Wait, you asked Kirstie out?
Sofia: Did you really?

Kevin POV
Great. These two are way too smart. They are about to be smarter than me. Even though I went to med school and all.

Kevin: Thanks a lot big mouth.
Avi: What? I got excited.

We all laughed.

Kevin: Okay. You caught me. I did ask Kirstie out.
Avi and Sofia: Yay!!
Kevin: I hate you guys.
Sofia: But you love us.
Kevin: True.

Avi comes from the kitchen and sits with me and Sofia.

Avi: So are you having a hard to time to plan a date for you and Kirstie?
Kevin: Yeah.
Sofia: We can help you, but what's a date?
Kevin: A date is when you go with someone to get to know them more and have fun.
Sofia: Like a play date?
Kevin and Avi: Yeah.

I didn't want to give her too much detail because she's only 8. She's a kid.

Sofia: Okay. I still wanna help.
Kevin: I don't know.
Sofia: Please, daddy.

I see she is giving me puppy eyes. I hate that, but with that face I can't resist.

Kevin: Okay, you can help me.
Sofia: Yay!

Avi and I laugh at her.

Avi: Let's get to planning.

So we all began to plan my date with Kirstin. Honestly, on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm at an 11 of being nervous about this date. So we got everything planned out. Around the time I'm going on the date Avi is gonna be out of town. Luckily, Scott and Mitch agreed to watch Sofia.
Soon it was the day of my date. I'm with Sofia helping her pack up to spend the night with Scott and Mitch.

Sofia: Daddy, can I ask you something?
Kevin: Sure, sweetie. What's on your mind?
Sofia: Are you gonna get Aunt Kirstie flowers for your date?
Kevin: I wasn't planning to.
Sofia: I think you should.
Kevin: How about this? On our way to Scott and Mitch's place we'll find some.
Sofia: Okay.

Soon we finished packing up and we drove to a flower shop to pick out Kirstin some flowers.

Kevin: See anything you think she'll like?
Sofia: Not yet.

We looked around some more.

Sofia: I found it.

I went to see what she found.

Sofia: Those are pretty, daddy.
Kevin: You like them?
Sofia: Yeah. I know Aunt Kirstie will too.

So we bought the flowers and we headed our way to Scott and Mitch's place. A few minutes later we made it.

Sofia: Uncle Scottie! Auntie Mitch!

She ran to them and hugged them.

Mitch: Hi, sweetie. We are gonna have some fun.
Sofia: Yay!
Scott: Your room is down the hall to the right.
Sofia: Okay. I love you daddy.
Kevin: I love you too, kiddo.

She hugged me and I kiss her on the forehead. Then she goes in the back.

Kevin: Thank you guys so much for watching her.
Mitch: It's no problem. We love her.
Scott: Yeah. Plus, we are gonna do a SUP3RFRUIT video with her.
Kevin: Hahaha! That's gonna be fun. I'll see you guys later.
Scott: Okay. Have fun on your date.

I left and went home to get ready for my date.
