Percy

Hello Goode. I have returned, beware. Both Annabeth and I are going to Goode as a coverup for a quest. And because Annabeth and my mom made me. Education is important, especially if I want to go to colledge in New Rome and if I want Athena to approve of me. You would think saving the world multiple times and falling into that place with Annabeth would make her approve but no! I wonder what she is doing right now. Annabeth is probably up on Mount Olympus looking for mentions of Hecate's where abouts. I was finishing up a early morning swim practice. Part of 'keep your cover' is fitting in and apparently that translated to sports, not that I'm complaining. I love swimming.

"Listen up cupcakes!" Did I forget to mention a certain satyre just so happens to coach boys swimming. I guess this is easy for Coach Hegde to spend time with his wife and Chuck, but give me a break from this bloodthirsty goat. "We have a meet with Rockville Academy tomorrow. I want all of you to drown them in your bubbles."

Andy, a backstrokes, decided to be brave and ask a question when Coach Hedge was I'm the middle of a speech. "Coach, you haven't actually told us what we will be swimming."

Coach Hedge paused for a second and seemed to deflate. "The events are, hold on." He pulled out a piece of paper with a definite teeth mark on it and I had to resist the urge to laugh my butt off. "I'll just put this in the board." He pinned it up before finishing his speech, but I was no longer paying attention.

After he released us to shower and change I looked at the paper.

It could be worse. I walked into the locker room just as everyone else was leaving. I liked to change when people couldn't see my scars. I quickly threw on a blue t-shirt and some black jeans. A ran out of the locker room and to the lott in front of school. I looked around. Annabeth and I always meet here to walk to class together.

"Hey, Seaweed Brain."

I turned around. There stood Annabeth in all her glory. I have never figured out how she can make a t-shirt and ponytail look so good. "Hey Wise Girl. Any luck?"

"No, but I have to find it eventually. There has to be something to give us a idea where Hecates at."

"Yeah, I'll continue to search the coast tonight after swim practice. We have to find her eventually."

"Yeah, but will it be soon enough?"

I stayed silent. I really didn't have an answer. It was hard to hide in the mortal world when monster where constantly trying to kill and eat you.

We parted ways when we entered the building heading to our diffent classes. I reached my locker just as Matt Pike approached. Matt hated me when I came to Goode and become captain of the swim team.

"Hey Jackson. Ready for the meet tomorrow?" He had a smile on his face but it was not a friendly one.

"Yeah, I have a lot of fly and free. What about you?"

"Same events. I'll see you then. We all know who will place number one." He must have meant himself. You could almost hear the pride in his voice.

I rolled my eyes and turned to my locker. He must have gotten the message because he walked away.

I grabbed my science notebook and folder and headed to Room 16. Mr. Donte was a good teacher, but we where learning about the atmosphere and space. I had to laugh whenever he talked about the sun and sky. Apollo and Ouranos in reality.

"Hello class. Today we will be sun and moon and the rotation relive the to earth. I knew this would go nowhere so I just put my head down and slept.

I woke up with the bell at the end of class and rushed out of the room. I didn't neeed a lecture from the teacher about sleeping in class. It wasn't like I would need to know the mortal way.

I met up with Annabeth and Reese, my mortal friend BFF, and we walked to Greak and Roman.

"Test today"

My head wiped to the side. "What?"

"We have a pretest in G&R today didn't you know." Reese and I swam together he should I don't pay attention in class.

"No. What's it on?"

"Really, Percy? You could know this. It's on the twelve olympians." Thank you Annabeth for actually paying attention.

I let out a breath. Thank the gods. This I can handle.

We reached the class just and the bell rand and I slide into my desk at the last second.

The teacher was already passing out tests. Talk about overkill.

I grabbed mine and started scribbling. I lived this stuff, it was the only class I could do as well as Annabeth. The questions were simple. There was only one question I though was funny.

Zeus is the god of law, order and justice. True or False?

It was true, but I found it funny the god who caused the most problems with having kids was the god of order. Who would have thought?

I finished and turned the test in right behind Annabeth. I gave her a nod and rolled my eyes. Piece of cake. Not to catch up on some sleep.

I was once again woken up by the bell. Annabeth and I had third hour lunch. Unfortunate, I know.

"I'm going back up to Olympus tonight. Will you be able to check out anouther area tonight?"

"Yeah, I'll head out to the one a couple of miles out to sea."

"Ok. IM if you find anything."

"Ok Wise Girl. If we get done soon enough would you care to accompany me to a movie."

"Sure Seaweed Brain, but hopefully by then we will have found and this quest will be over."

"Yeah. I miss camp. We could head their more often if the Mist was up."

"I just want to be able to fight a monster like the olden days. The Mist makes it nearly impossible."

"Tell me about it. I had to run ten blacks to Central Park last night to kill a hell hound without anyone seeing."

"Exercise is good for you."

I just groaned. "I'm sick of it though. It's also way more dangerous."

"I know." Her eyes dimmed a little, she had almost lost a brother to mortal interference.

We ate the rest of lunch in silence before heading out separate ways. Almost time for patrol again, joy. At least I could spend the night watching Finding Dory with Annabeth, again.
