"Uy Beatriz. Bakit hindi mo ako kinakausap?"
I'm just giving her a silent treatment. I am not answering her back.
"Bei?" She pat me on my right shoulder.
I miss her. I miss this girl. I miss my girl.
"What is it this time, Bei? May problema ka ba?" She raised her voiced already. Nagalit na ata.
"Bahala ka na nga diyan, Beatriz. Uuwi na ako."
Today is Wednesday. Maluwag schedule namin pareho. I took advantage of it and I ask her for a cup of coffee.
"Wait." Sabi ko sa kanya and held her wrist para awatin ang pag-alis niya. I just can't resist this girl.
"Okay. Sorry!"
"Sorry? Pero parang ikaw pa ang galit? Talaga lang ah, Beatriz."
Ayan na. Nagtataray na si Jhoana. Pero it's fine. It's my fault. Hindi ko kasi kayang i-reason out.
"I said I'm sorry Jhowjhow." I said it plainly without any emotions.
"Isabel Beatriz De Leon." She said habang nagroll yung eyes niya sa akin. Hala, ang cute niya tignan. But always naman siyang cute para sa akin.
"HAHAHAHA Ano ba yan Jhoana Louisse Maraguinot na pwede na maging De Leon. You never fail to amaze me with that Isabel Beatriz De Leon ha?"
I love her sweet smile. I love her. Period.
"Pero serious na tayo Bei. What's your problem ba?"
"I'll discuss with you later. I'll just order some foods okay?"
"Hmkay. The usual na lang Bei. Thank you." The usual. Never na magbabago. Never ata siyang nag-order ng kape kapag magkasama kami so laging frappe ang inoorder ko para sa kanya. She's so disciplined with her health. One of the reasons why I fall for her. Hay.
"Okay. Java Chip Frappe for Jhoana ganda."
"Sira ka talaga. Hahaha." Her laugh, sobrang nakakahawa na mabubuo na kaagad yung araw mo.
Pagbalik ko ng table namin, she's reading a magazine. Nabored na siguro ang love ko.
"Hi Jhoana ganda, here's your drink po." I offered it to her. Nagkadikit naman yung kamay namin. Hihi. Kilig nanaman ako.
"Thank you, Bae."
I was about to speak when she interrupted me. Again.
"Bei! Ano na nga? Do we have a problem?"
"Jhow. Let me sit first and have a sip with my coffee first, please?"
"Ay. Hehe! Sorry naman. Pero, go."
I cleared my throat and sighed.
"Okay, Jhow. I was not in the mood earlier kasi..."
"What is it Bei? Relax ka muna diyan. Inhale and exhale. Mukhang tense ka eh."
"Kasi." I looked in her eyes and just bow my head and whispered, "I got jealous."
"You? Jealous? To whom? Is it about me this time? Or Maddie?"
"Seryoso ka Jhoana Louisse na si Maddie?" Pinangdilatan ko siya ng mata. She knows the deal. Jhoana knows it. I got annoyed when I am asked about Maddie. But I know nang-aasar lang siya.
"Joke lang naman. I was just making the atmosphere lighter kasi you are so serious and tense there." And she gave me a smile.
"Seryoso na, Jho." At nagserious face na ako.
Jhoana is always like that. Kapag seryoso ako, biglang mapapatawa siya. Hindi ko na tuloy alam minsan kung saan ako lulugar. Minsan gusto ko siyang tanungin pero alam ko naman na wala akong karapatan.
Jhoana and I are dating. Exclusively. And yes, I'm courting her. Pumayag siya. And thankful din ako sa parents niya lalo na kay Tita Lovel for accepting me as Jhoana's lover.
"Okay. Serious na talaga Bei."
"Ayun. I got jealous nga. Sa kanina. Doon sa isang endorsement shoot mo. Kasi ang daming guys na nandoon tapos may isang guy doon na kakaiba yung tingin niya sa'yo. I think may crush yun sa'yo. Grabe Jho, I'm hurt." I explained.
"HAHAHAHAHAHA BEATRIZ NAMAN EH."
"Jho naman. Alam ko na wala akong karapatan magselos. Pero hindi ko kasi mapigilan. The girl I'm dating, the girl I love is surrounded by boys. At may mga crush pa sa'yo yun. Muntik na magcrash ang operating system ko Jhoana ganda."
Jho held my right hand. "Sorry kung natatawa ako, Beatriz. But you don't have to be jealous kasi ikaw lang naman ang pinaka magandang pogi. Smile ka na please?" And so I smiled.
"I know I told you to wait for me. Minsan naiisip ko rin na hindi mo na alam kung saan ka lulugar and kung may karapatan ka ba talaga sa akin." God knows how much I love this woman infront of me. She understands me.
"Okay Bei. This might not be official since I am not ready to commit but I'm giving you the right to be jealous. If you felt like, tell me okay? To prevent yung mga ganito. Ayokong nagtatampo ka sa akin. You are special. And alam mo naman na ikaw lang. And I hope that same goes with me. Pwede rin akong magselos. Pinaka magandang pogi kaya yung mangliligaw ko. Hehe." Why Jhow? Why so cute kahit super serious na yung matter.
"Thank you, Jho. Of course, that applies for the both of us. I want us to be honest and open with our feelings. I love you."
"Thank you, Beatriz."
I know one day, she'll give me the answer that I want to hear.
"One more thing, Beatriz. You don't have to be jealous. Hindi mo ba nakita yung sinuot kong necklace kanina? Letter B yun. Stands for Beatriz only."
