Ainsley's Pov
"Crap! Derek and I have to take care of the Kanima by ourselves. I mean I can do it myself, but I wanted to start training Hannah. Terry is completely cool with me taking Hannah as my apprentice, but of course something delays her training!" I tell a couple of coyotes I met in the forest. "Why does Derek have to help you if you can take it down yourself?" asks one of the pups. "The Kanima is on Hale land, and I need to gain Derek's trust if I want to train Hannah." I respond. "What the heck! This thing won't go down!" I heard Derek think. He is a REALLY LOUD thinker. I teleport to where he is fighting it. So far he has done a marvelous job holding it off, but that's not going to stop it.
I think it's time I get involved. I jump right in between them and shift into my Kanima form; which is superior to this one since I am an alpha in all forms. The Kanima and I start to dance it's so young so I don't want to kill it. I anolate which is essentially the "Kanima Alpha Tone.". It submits instantly, and then runs for the hills. Derek then looks at me as I shift into my Rit Zien form (medic angel) so I can heal him faster. He was nicked by the Kanima so he was paralyzed. I then shift to my human form and help him to his feet.
"How did you do that?" Derek says, looking me in the eye.
"Eternal Alphas can shift into any mythical creature, in their Alpha form." I explain, walking him to his car.
"Are you gonna be ok?" I ask, stopping infront of his car door.
"Yeah. I'll be ok. Thanks Ainsley." He says, and drives off.
"Damnit" I mutter, walking away.
We have to get rid if this Kanima before it shifts into an Alpha itself. The problem is, we don't know who it's owner is. If we figure that out, we can save the Kanima.
