There has been talk of a new Dragonborn for quite sometime now. Being on the good side of Harmaeus Mora does have its benefits, such as the first Dragonborn knew of this imposter for a long time, he knew that this imposter's glorious talks and praises went as far as the icy shores of Skyrim. Until now.
The Greybeards have spoken, the "savior" has returned to vanquish Alduin. And so the rumors of this deceiving Dragonborn has spread like wildfire, of how they would save the world. Even thinking about this rubbish would infuriate the first Dragonborn, Miraak.
Miraak was the first to wield the power of the Thu'um, he claimed and perhaps even was stronger than the Greybeards.
"I will hear no more of this absurdity!" The dragonpriest shouted "I do not care how or where this deceiver earned their fame from but they must be killed" Miraak said, the three cultists in front of him nodded in obedience
"And, bring back their head to me" he commanded.
Just as Miraak was about to command his cultists to leave, a dreadful voice echoed through the dark realm of Apocrypha, threatening to break the surrounding pillars.
"We had a pact, Miraak" Miraak recognized that it was no other entity than Harmaeus Mora himself
"I cannot allow this imposter to spread their lies!" Miraak replied, suppressing the anger
"I have more knowledge than you, little priest" the daedric lord replied "if you wish to see the soul of your dearest in peace, then you will obey me" Harmaeus Mora threatened.
With few choices left, Miraak turned to his obedient cultists and spoke "capture them, bring them here" he turned away and signed the cultists to leave.
The dragonpriest felt the foreboding presence of the daedric prince to dwindle, Miraak sighed and sat down on his throne, his gaze on the greenish sky of the Apocrypha.
The dragonpriest reached for a purplish glowing stone, locked in the socket of a staff, he has never used the staff. It was a gift when he rose through his ranks and became a powerful dragonpriest.
The gem slightly hummed with energy, it wasn't as radiant as the first day when he captured the soul in it, he knew that time was short and this soul was fading. And the soul belonged to a woman that he used to love, before he made a pact with the daedric lord. Like him, she was a dragonpriest but unlike him, she was much more interested in healing arts.
At first, Miraak and her used to fight, so much that they couldn't be even friends then all changed when a dragon they used to serve had betrayed Miraak, stabbing its claw into his heart. He would've died if she didn't save him, the "weak" magic of hers, as Miraak used to taunt her, had bought him back to life and ever since then, they grew warmer to each other.
Though their courtship was short lived when she had fallen ill so severe that not even the energies of the Aetherius could save her. Miraak abandoned his duties as the dragonpriest and spent his days by the side of his love, though all she wanted was for him to lead their people.
As Miraak's days passed in great grief by the side of her withering body, he decided to turn to the darker side for help.
The dragonpriest looked at his beloved, eyes closed, slowly breathing as if she would wake up in any moment now. He held her cold hand and whispered "forgive me, my dearest (y/n) for I am going to ask the dark forces to bring you back, it matters less to me even if they demand my soul as a price. The discomfort of burning in the fires of Oblivion will be inferior to the joy of knowing that you lived on..." he sighed and leaned to place a kiss on her forehead, he watched her sleep, he couldn't tell how peaceful she was, she always warned him of the Daedra and their tempting pacts. Their offers and promises wasn't worth forsaking the soul to them but to Miraak that was the only choice now, for if she breathes her last, Miraak would no longer be sane. The dragonpriest slowly let her hand go and stood up, looking at her a last glance before he turned away to face the darkness of Apocrypha.

Seeking Harmaeus Mora out wasn't as difficult as Miraak thought it would be, almost felt like that the daedric prince waited for the dragonpriest to arrive.
"You seek to restore the dear (y/n), to see her walk in the evenings with you and the events afterwards" the daedric lord said, visible mockery in his voice
Knowing how powerful the Daedra were, Miraak wasn't surprised that Harmaeus knew his intentions before he could even tell that to the daedric lord "yes, that is my reason for arrival" he replied
"Of course you are, love is such a dangerous web to be trapped in... so unpredictable" the daedric prince laughed "however, time is running out and you need the knowledge to save your love, I can provide you the knowledge but what can you offer me?" Harmaeus Mora asked, pretending to be curious.
"I offer you my soul, in exchange of my dearest's soul" Miraak almost immediately said
"I'm a little used to that" the daedric prince seemed to yawn, Miraak confusedly stared at him "offer me something interesting, unusual" the daedra sinisterly stated.
"Then I offer you the loyalty of the Dragonpriests and I, as their leader, will see to it that they serve your cause faithfully, either in living or undeath" Miraak declared
"I accept" Harmaeus gleefully replied, sharing the knowledge of an unique and powerful soul trapping that would save his beloved (y/n), he would always have her around and when the time comes, she will arrive to him as beautiful and alive as the day when they first met.

Until today, Miraak never understood what the daedric lord meant. The dragonpriest did what was required of him to save his love, he trapped her soul in a special soul gem and kept it with him forever.
"The imposter is finally here" Miraak heard one of his cultists' voice, he stood up and approached an armored warrior who was bound by spells.
"Get rid of that helmet" Miraak commanded, his cultists obliged, removing the helmet and revealing a long haired woman, glaring at the ground before her hair was pulled to look up at the last Dragonborn.
Miraak was startled to see the resemblance, he silently stared at her for a long while, his cold heart felt warmth again
"Leave... us" he muttered as the chamber was emptied except for the woman and Miraak. The dragonpriest dispelled the spells that bound her, she leapt back as soon as she was free and unsheathed her sword "not a step closer!" she threatened.
Miraak felt even more surprised that her voice sounded just like his lost love as well
"You don't understand, listen to me" Miraak lowered his voice, becoming gentler with his approach and took out the gem that held his beloved's soul
"Look at this gem... do you recognize it?" He asked, the warrior looked at the gem and took it from him "what is—" she was interrupted when the last remnants of the soul in that gem was transferred to her, all the memories of her spending time with Miraak, their fights, her bringing him back when he was losing his life and her final days with him, rushed through her mind like a hurricane, soon her eyes began to look just like it used to before her untimely demise.
"Miraak?" The woman said, blankly staring at him. Overjoyed, Miraak embraced her, burying his face in her (h/c) locks. Slowly she felt the emotions she used to feel for Miraak... for her Miraak. (y/n) slightly sobbed and hugged him back, she had found everything she had once lost and so did he....
