  A week later

I've been hungrier.

I've also been gaining weight. I stepped on the weight scale and I gained 4.5 pounds.

I've been sleepier and not in the mood to do anything.

Something is definitely wrong.

I can feel it.

I've been in my room on my phone, laying on my back.

I've had mood swings, gas and my breasts are swollen.

I decide to FaceTime Chloe.

Seconds later "Hey girl, what's up?" She answers.

"I've been so hungry since a week ago and I've been gaining weight and my mood swings are off the chart crazy-" she cuts me off.

"Woah, girl are you sure you're not pregnant?" She laughs.

I realize I was suppose to come on my period a couple of days ago.

I missed it.

"No," I say, trying to sound normal as possible.

"Awww Sophie, I'm gonna miss you so much. We're eighteen and these couple of months are going to be the last of us seeing each other in school," she fake cries then laughs.

I force a laugh "Yeah um, I- I have to go. I'll call you later," I say.

"Okay, see you later," she says.

I hang up and images are running through my mind and I'm panicking.

I have a nervous breakdown and just cry, after a while I look on Google 'symptoms of pregnancy'

All the things I've been having so far.

Oh my God.

I'm pregnant.

But how? He used a condom.

Maybe it popped.

There is a baby growing inside of me.

I cover my mouth and try to stop the tear from running down my face.

My mom is gonna kill me.

Asher will kill me.

Everyone will kill me.

Well the good thing about this is that I only have 2 and a half more months until I graduate high school and into the real world.

I promise to love and support this baby inside me and not adopt him or her.

I'm gonna be a good mom.

Asher's gonna freak. I'm so scared and so unprepared.

I have to find out for sure if I'm pregnant.

I ask my mom to drive me to Walmart.

Luckily I have the 31 dollars left from what mom gave me.

"What are you getting?" My mom asks.

"Just some pads and a first aid kit," I lie.

"Okay, take your time," she says.

I find the pregnancy tests and grab a box.

One line means not pregnant, two lines means I am pregnant.

I pay for the stuff and hop back in my mom's car.

"I'm done," I tell her.

She drives me back and I immediately go into the bathroom, lock the door and pee on the stick.
