Malik's POV
*3 days later*
"We gone open them at the same time iight." Jayden said. We had to smoke a blunt for this one. A nigga was nervous as hell. I ripped open the letter and started to read the small printed typing. In the case of Lyric Carter you are the father.
"I AINT THE DADDY! HUAAHHH!" Jayden yelled jumping out his seat. He took another puff of the blunt and did the nae nae. "HUAHHH!"
I was relieved after reading the results. Even if Lyric didn't turn out to be mine I was still going to take care of her like she was my own. I bent down and kissed MY daughter's forehead now I just had to get shit right with Emoni and I was praying to God that she take me back.
Can we talk... In person?
I texted her because I knew my voice was the last thing she wanted to hear. We graduate tomorrow and Moni and I were suppose to be giving a speech together. Me, her, Jayden, Kadience, Jazmine, Jalin, Katia and Jason are all graduating top of our class. We all had speeches to present tomorrow and I didn't even have mine written. Emoni was suppose to do it for me but I fucked that up.

Kadience's POV
"Y'all this dress winning." I said picking up this white and mint colored dressed. Me, Jazmine, Katia and Moni were all out shopping for dresses the wear under our graduation gown. The boys were out doing whatever the hell they do.
"Yea that's cute." Moni said an a irritated voice as she looked up from her phone.
"What his bitch ass say?" Katia asked coming from the other side of the store referring to Malik.
"He wants to talk." Emoni replied putting extra emphasis on talk.
"You gone talk to him or nahh?" Jazmine asked rubbing her belly. She was sitting down on one of the sofa in forever 21.
"I guess, I really miss my boyfriend but I don't know if I want him back." She said truthfully.

Malik's POV
I invited Emoni over so we could talk. I missed her and I needed help writing this damn speech. I was running around the house trying to pick up Lyric's toys and straighten up a little. Emoni always kept the house together but since she's been gone the shit looked worse and worse each day. I sprayed some air freshener just to get the smell of weed out the air. The moment I loaded the last few dishes in the dish washer the door bell rang. "Daddddyyy! Door!" Lyric yelled from the living room.
I walked over to the door and opened it letting Emoni in. She was beautiful as always. She had on blue bandeau top, black shorts, blue and gold opened toed shoes and the black shades she stole from my room. I had to say she wore them better. "Hello." She said giving me a side hug.
"Hey, how are you?"
"I'm better." She replied with a smirk.
I lead the way to the living room but she stopped in her tracks when she saw Lyric. I couldn't tell her facial expression due to the shades covering up her eyes. "Hey cutie. What's your name?" She asked kneeling down in front of Lyric.
"Lyric." She replied smiling from ear to ear.
"My name is Emoni, it's nice to meet you beautiful." I had to say Emoni had a way with kids. I could tell her and Lyric would get along just fine.
"Hey Moni." Lyric said.
"Hi." Emoni gave her a hug and picked her up before sitting on the sofa next to me. "You've been trying to do something to her hair I see." She said sarcastically.
"yea it's hard. I ain't good with all that. I can't even cook." I said rubbing my forehead.
She chuckled as she pulled Lyric on her lap and parted her hair down the middle then across. She got a bottle of just me hair lotion from the chair and poured some in her hair and worked it through Lyric's head with her hands. I was mad as hell. Every time I tried to do something to Lyric's head she wanna cry and say "No daddy it hurts!" but she'll let Emoni do something to it with no problem.
"What did you want to talk about?" Emoni asked as she put the last rubber band on one out of four of Lyric's poof balls. Whatever the hell you call them, I don't damn know.
"Us." I said truthfully. She sighed and turned her head toward me.
"Talk." She said with a fake smile.
"Can you take the shades off please?" If I was going to talk to her I needed to look her in her eyes to let her know everything I was saying was the God honest truth. She slowly removed the shades from her face. Her eyes was bloodshot red and puffy. "You been stoning?" She couldn't possibly still be hurt from the shit that happened almost a week ago right ?
"Malik when have you ever seen my put a blunt to my lips?" She asked in a irritated voice. "You did this."
"Emoni I'm sorry I truly am. I miss you, I miss waking up next to you in the morning, I miss the way your lips feel against mine, I miss holding you in my arms at night. Look at this house, it's a damn mess. You use to keep it up, hell you use to keep me up. I got a daughter I don't even know how to damn cook we've been eating TV dinner's and shit for 6 days now. I don't even know how to match her clothes, hell I don't even know how to wash clothes." I explained truthfully. She chuckled and started to pick up everything around the house, did all the laundry and dishes. She picked out outfits for Lyric and hung them up in the closet. She even gave a nigga a tape and wrote my speech for tomorrow. We were sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner. Moni throw down in the kitchen she cooked some fried pork chops, macaroni and cheese, sweet peas and some cornbread. The fuck was I thinking stepping out on her? The only thing Kandi ass was good for was sucking dick and twirling on a damn pole.
I took my phone out my pocket and put it on one of Moni's favorite songs. Make it like it was by Pretty Ricky.
