Thank you for giving my story your time of day, I really appreciate it. Like everything in life, my story is not perfect, but I do try hard, and I find it's not very nice to ever discredit someone's creative work, even if you find it unsuitable to your own tastes. If you find yourself feeling like this isn't the story for you, please quietly remove it from your library and move onto other amazing works you'll really enjoy. Please do not feel the need to tell me how much you hate it and how stupid you think the protagonist is, or add it to distastefully named reading lists. I have put many long hours into my writing.
The earlier chapters were written over 2 years ago, my writing has drastically improved, just try and hang around until at least chapter 16, they're all short chapters until around there. There is so much more emotion and passion in the more recent chapters, around 20 and up, but I do plan on rewriting the old ones in the near-future. I think you'll like this story if you give it a chance :)
A few things to note; this is not a romanticization of kidnapping. Due to the content of this story, sex/rape does happen, however, I don't write in detail about it. Rape is not something to be described in the way sex is in steamy stories. This is not erotica. Also, hate comments will not be tolerated. The protagonist is not a virgin, and if that upsets you, do not comment about it. The comments will be deleted, and if someone posts multiple, they will be muted. My community is a safe space, let's keep it supportive and kind, please.
The protagonist, Jess, is not someone who acts boldly, and like everyone in this world, she can act stupidly. She handles this situation through survival, and to survive sometimes means to play by unfair rules. By no means is she bland or weak, she has a personality and expresses her feelings, but she is more on the submissive side. I get a lot of comments calling her stupid or dumb, a moron, an idiot, etc, and others saying they really like her. Think about her situation and her past as you're reading. We don't always have time to react with a clear conscience.
While this warning, may seem a bit harsh, I promise I'm very nice and very much love to interact with readers, I've just experienced a lot of negativity (and a lot more positivity) with this story and want to address it. I respond to many comments and definitely read them all, so if you have a question, feel free to ask and I'll explain. I leave notes at the end of almost every chapter, and I hope that through them, you can all get to know me a little better.
