Mira's POV

My sister is still alive! How lucky could Elfman and I possibly be? Who knew she would be alive in another version of our world the whole time. Yes, I am overjoyed to have her back, but that came with a side effect I could never have imagined.

Lucy let us in and offered to make us tea. "What brings you all the way out to my apartment Mira?" Lucy asked concerned. She has a right to be uneasy about this encounter. I never visit her at her house, though I have always been interested in doing so. Natsu seems to like it here (#Ships).

"I need to tell you and Erza what happened after you left." I say with a tinge of fear and uncertainty in my voice.

"Okay. What is it" They ask.

--Flashback--

Lucy left a few minutes ago, and Erza just left. I was doing my usual rounds serving people drinks and various foods. I noticed team Natsu, minus two members, gathered at a table near the corner. 'Hmm. That's weird... They never act this calm and collected in each other's presence when Erza isn't around.' I thought to myself. Me being my curious self, I casually walked over to see if they wanted anything. As I got closer I heard Lisanna talking about someone. At first, I didn't know who, so I carefully listened.

"Is she even that strong?" She asked Natsu

"Without her spirits, she can't do much." Natsu replied. After that I knew exactly who they were talking about.

"Yea. We constantly have to save her" Gray chimed in.

"Really? That's kind of sad. I mean, if she knew she couldn't hold that many gates open at a time, and for short periods of time, you think she'd learn some basic combat skills." Lisanna said.

"Yea. Your way stronger than her Lisanna! and you didn't even have magic in Edolas." Natsu said excitedly.

"You'd be way easier to work with than her!" Gray said.

'What? How can they talk bad about her like that? I thought Natsu really cared for her. I mean, he is the one who risked his life to save her. He even brought her to Fairy Tail afterwards.' I thought to myself.

"Would you really add me to your team?" Lisanna asked hopeful.

"I just thought of something better than just adding you to our team" Gray said excitedly.

"Oh yea? What's that?" Natsu eyed him curiously.

"Why don't we just replace Lucy. That way we don't have to protect her anymore. It would be less work for all of us, and we could get harder jobs done much easier!" Gray explained.

"That's a great idea!" Natsu and Lisanna said together.

I couldn't believe what I heard. Two of Lucy's closest friends wanted to abandon her.

--End of Flashback--

Erza's POV

Mira finished her story. I looked at Lucy. She looked like she could burst into tears any second. I embraced her and that pushed her over the edge. She burst into tears on my shoulder so I requipped into my normal clothes and held her. I glanced at Mira whose eyes had a slight glossy look. I can't imagine how she must feel. She just gave Lucy the worst news ever. I pulled her into the hug and we sat on Lucy's floor for a good 10 minutes. Lucy's body racked with sobs as Mira and I comforted her.

'Oh how I want to beat Gray and Natsu' I thought to myself. Mira could see my frustration and anger towards flame-brain and ice-princess.

After about 10 minutes of crying and hugging on the floor, Lucy's sobs quieted and her breathing slowly even out. She had cried herself to sleep in our embrace. Mira and I put her in her bed and went into another room.

"What do we do" Mira asked me sadly.

"We'll stay here for the night so we can make sure she's okay in the morning. Then I will talk to the two dimwits tomorrow." I replied as calmly as I could.

"Okay. But I have to lock up the guild. I'll be back in about 30 minutes. Want me to get anything for you?"

"No. I'll be fine. I'm worried about Lucy right now." I told her.

"Okay. I'll be back soon."

She left and I sat at the desk next to Lucy's bed and waited for Mira's return.

Mira's POV

I left Lucy's apartment and sat on the outside steps and cried myself. How could I help Lucy? I just told her that her two best friends wanted to replace her with my sister. What would she think of me? After a few minutes I walked back to the guild. Almost everyone had left. Good. I won't have much to do before locking up. The only people left were Natsu, Happy, and Lisanna. "Natsu. Lisanna, I have to lock up." I called to them.

"Okay Mira! I was about to head home anyway. See ya tomorrow Lisanna."

"Aye Sir!" Happy exclaimed. Happy and Natsu left leaving me and Lisanna.

"Ready to go home big sis?" Lisanna asked walking up to me.

"Uh. Actually, I'm staying with Erza tonight. Make sure you get home safe."

"Oh. Okay. See you tomorrow." She said, leaving the guild.

I powered down the light lacrimas and locked the guild doors. A walked back to Lucy's apartment dreading what she would think of me when she woke up tomorrow. How could she forgive me? My sister was replacing her, and it took that happening for me to realize how I too have been paying less attention to her. How do people see me as the loving Mirajane? I let one of my closest friends down.

I finally reached Lucy's apartment when Erza came running out of the front door with her armor and sword requipped breathing heavily. "Oh, my goodness Mira there you are." She came running over to me.

"What happened?" I asked scared.

"She's gone." She said looking around us.

"What? What happened?" I asked even more scared.

"I failed. I got tired and fell asleep at her desk. She must have left while I was asleep. Dammit!" she cursed herself.

"Erza. Calm down okay? We'll find her." I tried to reassure her and myself.

"We have to. Who knows what's going through her mind right now." Erza sighed, worried.
