The sun rose slowly in the sky, sending rays of golden light across the town of Magnolia, into the depths of the East Forest. Shining in the window of the small room where Mira and Wendy were sleeping, a ray of light was shining directly on a young dragon slayer. Stirring out of her sleep, she found herself next to Mira who was hugging her like a teddy bear. A smile found its way onto the girls face as she knew Mira was okay. The idea that her sky healing magic wasn't working a week ago crushed the girl. Not only was her guild Cait Shelter a bunch of 400-year-old illusions that disappeared on her, causing her to lose everyone she'd ever known, the idea of being unable to save someone she admired and looked to like a sister, crumbled her heart to pieces. Not to mention she knew the effect it would have on one of her teammates. The idea that Lucy didn't want her around still weighed heavily on her. Not wanting to spoil her own happy mood, she pushed the thought aside and focused on what she would do while waiting for Mira to wake up. Knowing she needed the rest, she wanted to let her sleep, but she also wanted to talk to her. Catch up a little bit.

Deciding on waking her up, she gently poked at Mira's cheek, effectively waking the older mage. Waking with a yawn Wendy was released from Mira's unconscious bear hug.

"Hehe. Sorry, Wendy." She said removing her arms from around the smaller girl.

"It's okay. How are you feeling." Wendy giggled.

"Great. A bit hungry, but other than that I feel better than I have in the last two weeks." She smiled.

"Cool. I'll see if I can make some breakfast." the small girl said climbing out of the small bed.

"Alright," Mira said sitting up. Looking out the window, she watched as the sun continued to rise in the sky and small groups of birds made their way out of their nests to find their own breakfast. A few minutes later Wendy came sulking into the room covered in flour.

"What happened?" the older girl asked stifling a giggle.

"Porlyusica said I could make waffles. I don't know how so I found a cookbook, but when I tried reaching it I knocked over the flour." She frowned.

"Need help," Mira asked giggling at the pout on Wendy's face.

"Yeah." she sighed looking defeated.

"I'll be right there," Mira said getting up. Making their way into the kitchen, the worked together to clean up the small mess of flour gravity and a book caused a few minutes prior. Once all the flower was mopped up and discarded, Mira reached for the cookbook, placing it on the counter so Wendy could see it.

"Thanks," Wendy said, flipping through the old, dusty book.

"Want me to stay in case you need help?"

"Sure. We can talk if you want." Wendy said, gathering the ingredients and tools needed for making waffles and bacon. Mira watched as the sky maiden stared intently at the book, reading the recipe thoroughly before making any moves to start the dish. Feeling satisfied, she measured out the necessary ingredients, dumping them into a bowl. Getting ready to pour all the ingredients into a single bowl, Mira stepped up beside her.

"Hold on a minute." She said.

"What's wrong?" Wendy asked, hoping she didn't mess up such a simple breakfast.

"Nothing. Just make sure you have all the dry ingredients mixed before adding the wet ones. See." She said pouring the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in the bowl.

"Then you make a little hole in the center like this." She said taking a spoon and moving some of the dry ingredients to create a well.

"Then you pour in the egg, milk and vegetable oil." She added. Wendy poured the mixture of wet ingredients into the well Mira made in the dry ingredients.
