Sam walked into the emergency department. She looked around and saw the reception desk.
"Excuse me, can you tell me where Nick Jordan is?" She asked
"I can call him for you" the jolly receptionist said
"Thank you" Sam said
"Sorry, you are?" Noel asked
"Sam Nicholls. He should be expecting me" Sam explained
"Ok, take a seat and I will get him"
Sam sat down and put her huge army backpack on the floor. She watched Noel go over to Mr Jordan, they talked for a moment the Nick came over to her.
"Dr Nicholls! Nice to meet you" Nick put his hand out and Sam shook it politely
"You too" Sam smiled
"Shall we go to my office?" Nick began to walk and Sam followed
They went up a flight of stairs and down a corridor. Sam's eyes were everywhere, the new department was exciting for her.
"Please take a seat" Nick pulled up a chair opposite his desk
"Thank you" Sam said
"You're a day early" Nick was impressed but confused
"I'm just eager to get out there" Sam rubbed her hands together
"Good to hear! But you can't be on the shop floor until tomorrow, would you be interested in observing the paramedics?" Nick questioned
"Of course! Thank you Mr Jordan" Sam got up and took herself to the staff room where she got changed
She walked out to see Nick Jordan talking to two paramedics. She boldly approached them.
"Ah Sam! This is Jeff and Dixie, you will be observing them" Nick said before walking away
"Hi, shall we go?" Sam smiled
"Of course" Dixie raises an eyebrow, "come on Jeffrey!"
Sam walked behind the paramedics and looked around the department as they exited. She saw a figure she thought she knew but was rushed by Jeff and Dixie when they got a call.
