Dylan and Sam - Unexpected Feelings

Part 19 - Danger

Winter was making its presence known around Holby. The day had a mystery about it. Dylan put on his jacket and went to say bye to Sam.

"Right, I'll see you later" Dylan popped his head around the bedroom door

"Well, when your shift ends, mine starts" Sam reminded him

"Ah, yes. I'll pick you up when your shift is done though." Dylan said

"Thank you"

Dylan went up to the hospital and did his shift. In that time he had to tell a 20 year old she had cancer, pop in a dislocated knee, stitch up a mans head and remove a coin from a toddlers stomach.

As he walked back to his car to go home Sam passed him. They brushed shoulders and then turned around.

"Hey" Sam said

"Hi" Dylan looked up

"I've got to go, see you later" Sam smiled

"Bye" Dylan said as Sam leaned in for a kiss

"Love you" Sam winked as she walked away

"Love you too" Dylan smiled

Sam made her way into the ed. She saw Tom and went to see him.

"Hi" She said

"Hey Sam! Just the person" Tom began

"Ah what is it?" Sam grinned

"I have a guy in resus, ex army, I thought you could help me out?" Tom suggested

"Of course! Lead the way!" Sam followed Tom into resus and began talking to the solider until he lost consciousness

Sam phoned to see if there was a theatre available, no luck.

"We're going to have to do it here" Sam began to get equipment

"You what? We can't do it here!" Tom fussed

"Try me" Sam stared at him

"Ok"

Suddenly alarms went off.

"Fire guys, we need to go!" Zoe called

"We're not going anywhere" Sam insisted

Everyone in the ed were evacuated. Sam and Tom stayed in resus to operate on their patient. Tom was on the phone to the firemen while Sam carried on with the procedure.

"Sam, they said we are in huge danger" Tom took a deep breath
