Be polite to locals

As someone who works a thread (that makes me sound like a hooker. My God, I’m a writing hooker. I think I should be ashamed), it’s really annoying when someone just breezes past the rules like it’s no one’s business.

For instance, linking your story onto a random thread. It’s like someone jumping the line at the cashier with two overloaded carts while you’ve been waiting there for half an hour with your supply of chocolate and fruit that’d only take a few minutes to process. It’s the perfect time to practice your stinky eye.

Sadly, Wattpadders can’t see that perfected stinky eye.

You’ve got rely on your words, or if worse comes to worse, those guardian angels known as moderators. Or you could do what all us writing hookers do and threaten the living daylights out of them.

“If you do not remove your link, I will report you. It’s against the rules. Have a nice day.”

So polite.

But you’d think I’d be writing “Yo, this is my strip. Find yo own street, ya new ho or I’ll stuff you with lead. *waves handgun around threateningly*” with how quickly most people respond. Which is fantastic.

But it’d be better if it didn’t happen at all. New or not, at least acquaint yourself with the rules before posting on a thread. Because some of us are more likely to shoot first and ask questions later.

Sorry for the delay in posting and replying to all your lovely comments but I pretty much just found out that I'm in the ironman of conferences -- we have events from 6am to 11pm. And electronics are banned from said events. So I likely won't be able to get to thanking all you readers and checking out posts until about August 5th. I will try to keep posting on schedule-ish and replying to pms as promptly as possible.  Thanks for putting up with this guys and sorry again.

I thought this was supposed to be a vacation conference.  I die now.

And now Wattpad is glitching. I swear to you all Wattpad Gods that this story is in fact long enough. Truth flows from my mom's crappy tablet that I may have "borrowed". Truth is truth, right?
