sometimes,
no matter what we do
we receive the opposite
of what we deserve.

no matter how good you are
you'll still be thrown into
a pile of tragedy.

and no matter how bad you are
you'll still find all the lovelies
growing on your path.

happy endings in books and fairy tales try to
give us hope that if we're good then good
is what we'll receive,

but sometimes those are just illusions.

cause in reality,

karma is an inactive force
and it's only up to other people
whether they choose
to let your life be heaven or hell.

some people grow up surrounded by kindness
they don't deserve and the unfortunates
are usually the ones giving kindness,

something they never receive.
