"So you're a psychic too, huh? I thought it was a bit suspicious that your thoughts also corresponded with your classmates' thoughts. Honestly that's a relief to me. I thought I was the only psychic out there. I'm glad I finally met someone who understands what it's really like to be a psychic. It's more chaotic than convenient." You said which kind of caught Saiki off guard for a second. He looked at you a little alarmed but then he relaxed and what seemed to be a faint smile appeared on his face. He was happy that he had finally found someone that could understand his pain.

"People don't realize that having psychic powers isn't as convenient as they'd think. It's noisy even without everyone actually talking because I can read their minds. Also, if everyone found out I'm a psychic, then they'd probably never leave me alone and ask me to use my powers to help them out with all sorts of tasks. That's why I hate attention. I just want a quiet and peaceful life." Saiki told you.

"I know right?! But I hate attention for a different reason. I used to be a social butterfly and wasn't worried about revealing myself as a psychic. But one fateful day changed me. My older brother and I and a few of our friends were hanging out at a park together. I had just told them I was a psychic and was showing off some of my powers to them. I was using my telekinesis ability to make a huge boulder float in midair. One of my brother's friends wanted me to make it break into pieces. This is when my powers spun out of control and I ended up making the boulder explode violently." You began to explain.

"A huge piece of the boulder slammed into my brother's legs and completely crushed them to the point where they had to be amputated. A medium sized piece of the boulder hurled into one of my friend's head, knocked her out cold and made her head bleed badly. She ended up getting severe amnesia and needed to learn how to walk and talk again. A small shard went straight through one of my brother's friend's chest which pierced his heart like a bullet and killed him instantly. A large chunk crashed into another one of my brother's friend's torso which knocked him flat into the ground. The impact ended up damaging his internal organs and paralyzed him from the waist down. Another large fragment flew straight at my other friend's neck, snapping it which killed her instantly. The other pieces of boulder landed in various areas of the park which was empty of people other than us so no one else got hurt." You told Saiki as you shuddered from the memory.

"Back then, I thought I had more control over my powers than I actually did. I learned that the hard way. From that day forth, I kept my psychic powers a secret from everyone else and I became an introvert. Now if I'm around a lot of people, I get really nervous and my psychic powers build up inside. If I were to have a panic attack, I would lose control of my powers and they'd go haywire, destroying everyone and everything within a 200 meter radius. My powers are actually strong enough to destroy the entire earth if they were to be unleashed, but I wear a special necklace that vastly reduces the damage zone." You finished explaining as you pulled down your uniform shirt collar and let the necklace hidden underneath your shirt fall out, exposing a bit of your cleavage in the process. As you showed him the gold chain necklace with a teardrop shaped germanium pendant on it, Saiki started to blush slightly as his mind went blank. He found it quite odd that he was blushing from seeing part of your cleavage. He had never been flustered before because he had no interest in romantic relationships, therefore no interest in the female body. So why was it different with you?

"Umm Saiki, why are you staring at me? Is there something on my shirt?" You asked Saiki who realized exactly what he was doing and snapped out of it.

"No, there's nothing wrong with your shirt. It's just... your necklace is really pretty." Saiki lied as he sat back and continued to eat his lunch again and you followed his lead. Awkward silence filled the atmosphere until you decided to say something.
