Soph: BITCH GUESS WHAT THE FUCK UR BABY DADDY DID

Me: I'm guessing something stupid

Soph: HE BROKE UP WITH BEN

Me: HE DID WHAT?!

Soph: YEAH

Me: I'VE GOT A PHONE CALL TO MAKE

I go to Skype and call Parker.

"Hey" he says.

"Fucking idiot" I say.

"So you know"

"Obviously"

"I don't wanna do this right now"

"Too bad" I cross my arms.

"Fine"

"What the hell were you thinking?"

"That I've got more important things too do"

"You're an asshole"

"I know"

"What did you tell him?"

"I have school, I live 12 hours away, and I'm having twins"

"And you think he cares?"

"......I did the right thing, Aubree"

"Did you?"

".....yeah"

"He's not gonna wait for you"

"I don't want him to"

"Really? So you'd be totally fine with me hooking him up with someone"

"If he moves on, I'm happy for him but please don't rub it in my face"

"Why not? Obviously you don't care about him"

"Seriously?! You think I don't care about him?! I love him more than anything! I didn't want to hurt him but I had to!"

"No, you didn't"

"Whatever, Bree. I'll see you in 3 weeks"

"Yeah. Whatever" I say and hang up.

Me: he gets 2 weeks to be sad then we're getting him someone new

Soph: is that a good idea?

Me: yes. he needs someone else before Parker gets here

Soph: shit. i forgot he's gonna be here soon

Me: yeah. so 2 weeks and then he's meeting my friend

Soph: ok

Ben's POV

I walk outside to the bleachers instead of eating inside. I don't eat at all, I don't think I can stomach it right now.

"Hey" someone says. I look up and see Aiden Debrowski.

"Hi" I say.

"Can I sit?" he asks. I shrug and he sits down next to me, "how's Parker?"

"You're gonna have to ask him yourself"

"I thought you guys were dating. Sorry"

"We did until about 3 days ago"

"What happened?"

"He said he has more important things in his life than me. 2 kids, college, I mean I get it but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt"

"He's a dick"

"Yeah and I have to see him in 3 weeks"

"Why?"

"The twins are gonna be here"

"Oh"

"Aubree's my friend and I promised I'd be there and Parker is the dad so of course he's gonna be there"

"I'm sure she would understand if you weren't around when he was there"

"Yeah but I don't wanna miss the first two weeks of their lives"

"Have a boyfriend while he's here"

"It's not that easy"

"I don't mean a real boyfriend. Have an adorable football player boyfriend. With dimples" he smiles poking his cheeks.

"You want to help me make him jealous?" I ask, surprised.

"Why not?"

"Ok but um there's some things he might ask you about"

"Obviously. Jealous ex-boyfriend leads to new boyfriend interrogation"

"Ok um.....I'm really into books and Tumblr. I say my favorite show is The Walking Dead but everyone close to me knows it's really Shadowhunters. Um my dad is in jail for child abuse. My little sister 9, her name is Zoey. My mom was shot in front of me when I was 13. Um......oh, I talk about this a lot, my OTP is Ziam. In my spare time, which is a lot, I do homework, watch Netflix, read, or go on Tumblr" I explain.

"Ok I feel like you went from something really serious to something not that serious too quickly" he says.

"It's necessary information but I don't wanna talk about it"

"Oh. That's fine"

"Oh, and no telling anyone this is fake. I don't want any chance at Parker finding out"

"Ok. Any rules?"

"Not really. Just don't actually fall for me" I joke and wink.

"Won't be a problem" he jokes back.
