"You're more smiley than usual...what happened?" Kyle asked, narrowing his eyes at me.

"Nothing, it's nothing," I dismissed him, patting the top of his head.

"Dear god, the end of the world is coming," he muttered worriedly, staring at me with wide eyes.

"No it isn't, stop assuming the worst is happening when I act weird," I told him, pouting slightly at him.

"What other explanation is there?" he questioned, covering his mouth with his hands.

"You must hate me being happy then. What happened to 'you deserve happiness too' stuff?" I asked, huffing in annoyance.

"Wait, you're telling me you're happier than normal?" he paused dramatically, "Who's responsible for this?"

"I. Hate. You."

"No you don't."

"Is it just me, or do you seem even happier?" Kyle asked, raising his eyebrows at me.

"Oh, shut up. It's like you're against my happiness," I scoffed, rolling my eyes at my friend.

The brunette smiled at me, shaking his head, "I just want to know what's gotten you in such an amazing mood. You'd look depressed if you weren't this happy ever again."

"Whatever," I muttered, sneaking a glance at Levi, who was looking back at me, his hand covering his mouth and I was hoping it was to hide whatever smile was on his face.

I smiled back, causing the boy's face to turn pink as he looked away.

Throughout the rest of the class I caught Levi sneaking he occasional glance at me, blushing and looking away when I caught him looking.

It was adorable...not like I would ever admit that to anyone...ever.

"So...what do you think is wrong with him?" Kyle asked, looking between his girlfriend, Lexi, and Elijah.

I sat with my face pressed against the table, smiling stupidly and uncontrollably.

"He looks really happy," Lexi commented, leaning into her boyfriend's side.

They looked good together. Kyle was already attractive and Lexi was really pretty, though, she'd look better without any of her makeup. They were a cute couple, probably my favourite straight couple.

"He was like this when he came home last night too," Elijah told them, poking me on the forehead, "I thought he might've been drunk when he got back."

"Wait, where'd he go?" my friend asked with wide eyes.

"Dunno, said he was out with a friend, so I assumed it was you. Then I was mad, because I thought you got my little brother drunk," he answered, shrugging his shoulders. Eli waited for a response from me to say something about how he was only a few minutes older.

"Am I really his only friend?" Kyle asked, a sad look on his face.

"Other than Dan and Kai...and anime, yes," he said.

"I think he might be in love," Lexi suggested, looking over me again.

"What? Don't be ridiculous, I'm not in love," I ridiculed, rolling my eyes at them as I sat back up.

"I think we just found our answer," my brother muttered.

"Please, I haven't gone that far off the deep end," I scoffed, crossing my arms, "just an intense infatuation."
