Elijah popped up next to me while I was closing my locker door, a hopeful look on his face.

I sighed, "What do you want?"

"Can we please go somewhere after school later? Please?" he pleaded, giving me his best puppy dog eyes, "I have a good feeling about today, c'mon!"

"Fine, I'll follow you around later. You get two hours, then I'm going home," I told him, watching as Kyle's face turned into a confused one at our conversation.

"Thank you!" Eli pulled me into a hug before he practically skipped away.

"What was that all about?" Kyle asked as we started walking to class.

I shook my head, "He says he has a good feeling about today, so he wants me to follow him around later cause he's hellbent on this feeling relating to his soulmate. This isn't even the first time it's happened."

"So, um, what happened to your good mood?" my friend questioned, narrowing his eyes at me.

I smiled widely, remembering that I had a date tomorrow, "Thanks for reminding me how great life is right now."

His eyes went wide, "I shouldn't have said anything."

I scowled at him, "Seriously, why is everyone against me being happy?"

I sent a smile towards Levi, smirking victoriously when he covered his mouth with his hand, propping his head with his elbow, though, it didn't do anything to cover the light pink that stained his cheeks. Kyle rose an eyebrow at me, sitting down at his desk.

"What...just...happened?" he questioned in shock.

"Nothing, just trying a different approach," I dismissed, tapping him lightly on the shoulder.

"You keep getting weirder and weirder -- I don't like it," he commented, pushing my hand away from him.

"Whatever," I muttered, rolling my eyes as I snook a glance at Levi.

He had his eyes narrowed at me, his hand resting on his cheek while propped up his head instead of covering his mouth like earlier, his lips were set in a straight line and his cheeks were void of pink.

Did I just make him jealous?

Elijah grabbed onto my hand, tugging me along behind him, "This way!"

I continued to follow my twin brother around, keeping watch on his red string while he dragged me along. He was like an excited child dragging their parent into a candy shop with no certain guarantee of getting what they wanted. I just followed him blindly, tracing the string as far as I could before losing it in the mess of red strings around me.

As Eli dragged me around with him I could almost feel the positive emotions radiating off of him. He just seemed so sure that today was the day he was going to meet his other half. It made me feel bad that he might be disappointed if we don't end up finding them.

I traced the string again, then again, and again, making sure I was seeing things correctly. I pulled on our connected hands to get Elijah to stop walking.

He turned back to me with a large smile on his face, "Where and who?"

"Black hair, to your right," I told him, pointing towards the boy I saw.

As if on cue, a brown wallet fell out of his back pocket, not noticing that he had dropped it.

"Go get 'em tiger," I said with a smirk, pulling my hand out of my brother's as I pushed him towards the raven-haired boy.

"Thanks," he called back, walking over to where the boy had dropped his wallet, picking it up and chasing after him with the brightest grin on his face.

I just watched him, seeing as the string got shorter and shorter as he got closer to the mystery guy.

I smiled before I started walking back home.

Guess that feeling Elijah had was actually real this time.

"So, how'd it go?" I asked, smirking as Elijah burst into my room.

"I got his number!" he exclaimed excitedly.

"Good for you," I said, giving him a thumbs up.

"My only problem is that he's nineteen," he mumbled, slumping down onto my bed.

"Oof, top ten anime betrayals," I commented, grimacing slightly. "Looks like you'll have to wait for two years," I added on.

"Yep, but it's kinda weird..." he trailed off, shrugging slightly.

"Why?" I questioned, pursing my lips in curiosity.

"When we were talking, his voice kept cracking, kinda like he just started puberty, and he was kinda curvy. It was confusing," he murmured, looking up at me.

"Huh...maybe he's trans," I suggested, watching as Elijah shrugged again.

"Maybe, I wouldn't mind...he is my soulmate after all. If the universe says we're meant to be, then who am I to question its judgement?" he said, letting his head fall back onto the mattress.

I smiled, "Amen to that."

"Oh, and his name is Mason."
