"How was your weekend?" Levi asked, not seeming to care that people were giving us odd looks since we were apparently 'known enemies' that were having a civil conversation.

Little do they know...

"It was good, though, I kept running into Mason," I said, closing my locker door.

Levi's face scrunched up, kinda like he had just eaten a lemon, "I hate that guy."

"Too bad, he'll probably be hanging around often bugging me for info on my brother," I told him, smiling slightly.

"At least he's not interested in my man," he muttered, crossing his arms.

My eyes widened when I saw Kyle heading towards me, his lips turned up in a smile until he saw Levi standing next to me. He quickened his pace, a furious look on his face.

"Um Ky-" I was interrupted by Kyle shouting at Levi.

"What are you doing here?" he near growled.

"Because I can," my boyfriend said, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly.

Kyle glared at him, "Why the hell are you bugging Jamie?!"

"I'm not bugging him, it's called a civil conversation," the slightly taller brunette said.

"Since when? You've always been a bitch too us, so why would you suddenly be all nice and crap?!"

Levi rolled his eyes in annoyance, "Whatever, I can tell when I'm not wanted. See you around, Jamie."

"What the hell did he say to you?" Kyle asked me, his arms crossed, his face still set in a scowl.

"Nothing rude, we were actually having a pleasant conversation," I grumbled, feeling crossed with my friend for making Levi leave.

"Now you're mad at me?" he questioned, his jaw dropping.

"I was making progress," I muttered, folding my arms over my chest.

"What if he's being two-faced? Only gaining your trust to betray you later on," he said, leaning against the rows of lockers.

"He isn't," I mumbled.

"You have a biased opinion 'cause he's your soulmate and stuff, it could be a possibility."

"I trust him, you should too. He's being decent for once."

"I don't trust him and you shouldn't either."

I was walking to my next class, smiling as I saw Levi heading towards me. He held out his hand, a folded piece of paper in his hand.

As he passed by me, he slipped it into my hand and continued walking past me. I gripped the paper tightly, smiling to myself as I entered my class. I took my seat next to Kyle, unfolding the paper.

'You and me Friday? <3'

I tried to bite back my grin, writing my reply on the paper so I could give it to him in my last class of the day.

"Why are you smiling?" my friend asked, glancing over at me.

I hid the paper in my jumper's pocket, looking at the brunette, "No reason, it's nothing important."

"You're still kinda mad at me from earlier, aren't you?"

"Yep, this has nothing to do with it though."

***

I set the note down on Levi's desk as I passed by him, sending him a smile as I sat down behind him. He looked back at me, a small smile on his face, before turning around in his chair.

"So, we're on for Friday?"

"That's what I put on the paper, isn't it?" I asked, grinning at the brunette.

"What do you wanna do for our date?" he questioned, propping his head up on his elbows.

"Anything you want to do is fine with me," I told him, staring into his greenish-blue eyes.

He grinned wickedly, "Horror movie?"

"No, no, no, no, no. Anything but that, please," I protested, my body going tense as my eyes went wide.

He chuckled at me, "Adorable, anyway...we should probably plan out what we're going to do on dates from now on."

"I guess...maybe we can go to a bookstore?" I asked hopefully.

"A bookstore? How about a study date at the library?" Levi suggested, raising an eyebrow curiously.

"Sure, I guess that'll work. I spent all my money over the weekend anyway."

"On books?" he asked, looking somewhat stunned. "How much?"

"Almost 300," I answered, glancing away sheepishly so I didn't have to look at his reaction.

"Where'd you get that kind of money?"

"Summer jobs, allowance money, and holiday money," I replied, shrugging my shoulders.

"You're so cute."

"Huh? Oh, um, thanks..."
