[Host, you want to buy me the body of a cat?] Lan said, looking over the description of it. Dark purple fur, big black eyes, and lithe and weightless body.
"Yes, for now anyway. Why? You don't like it?" Kai asked, raising his eyebrow.
[Oh, no, I do. It's really cute host] Lan said, looking at the picture of the cat. To be honest Lan hadn't thought of being a cat at all. She had thought that her appearance would have been something more awe-inspiring. Like a dragon. But her host just had to go and crush her dreams by telling her she was going to be a cat. Not a tiger or a lion, but a cat. If Kai knew what she was thinking he would have vomited blood.
Sighing internally Lan looked at the bright side, at least her host wasn't like her previous ones and wanted to buy her a different body.
"I'm pretty sure you will look adorable as a cat. Also, this way you can be almost everywhere with me, you know" Kai said, smiling at Lan. "Oh, I forgot, I want you to monitor Emma and her family form me, Lan. Tell me anything notable, like if she met with a man or something." Kai said, getting up from his seat on the bed.
[On it, host] Lan said, disappearing from her spot.
Walking to his walk-in closet, Kai grabbed a pair of tennis shoes and socks. Putting them on, he went out of his room towards the kitchen to make something to eat. He was starving.
An hour later, everyone in the house was being driven to the dinning room because of the delicious scent coming from the kitchen. Kai had already told the maids to help move the dishes out to the dinner table because he knew whomever was in the house would want to eat after the smell wafted out. Kai had made several dishes which consisted of chicken stir fry, Mongolian beef, tteokbokki, chicken and rice, and fettuccine alfredo. He even made several cakes for dessert.
When Kai's family saw him walk out after the maids they raised a brow, confused. Smiling, Kai kept his mouth shut and sat down. A few minutes later, everyone was moaning.
"Holy shit, this is amazing!" Crystal said, grabbing more of everything. Smiling at his sister Kai began eating.
"Who made this? This is really good" Zhao Mama said, ignoring her daughter's slip of the tongue and looking questioningly at the maids that had stayed to help the family.
"Young Master Kai made it Madam" Mary, the maid that had helped Kai with the ingredients, smiled and answered the Madam. She had tasted young master's food as well and she wasn't surprised that the family was devouring their food. The young master told her not to say but it was too good of a skill not to brag.
At the mention of Kai everyone stopped and gaped at Kai who had frozen with a fork with alfredo halfway to his mouth. Glaring playfully at Mary, Kai placed his fork down and prepared for the barrage of questions and compliments.
"Kai, you know how to cook?" that was Eric.
"Bro, teach me how to cook!" that was Crystal.
"My baby knows how to cook like a pro!" that was Zhao Papa.
"Our son is ready to be a bride" and that was Zhao Mama.
Zhao Mama's sentence made everyone freeze and gape at her. Except for Zhao Papa who was nodding along with her, but then remember that if someone married his son he would be taken away from him and stopped nodding and started shaking his head.
"Mom, did you just say Bride?" Crystal asked, wide eyed. She had never thought her mother would call her big brother a bride!
"Yes. Why? Is there a problem?" Zhao Mama asked, frowning.
