Arc 1.7: A Shitty School Romance

Wandering through the hospital hallway, Kai smiled at the nurses who where walking between rooms.

"Lan, what room is Ian in?" Kai asked Lan telepathically.

[Room 516] Lan said, floating by Kai's side. Now, with a goal in mind, Kai walked with a purpose while looking for an elevator.

He was currently on the tenth floor, so he had to go down to the fifth floor. Finding an elevator at the end of the hallway Kai got in and pressed the button with the number five. Looking at his reflection in the elevator door Kai silently thanked the doctor who said it wasn't necessary to change into a hospital gown and sighed when he remembered why he was there in the first place.

He still couldn't believe that Ian was the one that saved the female lead and got tangled up in this mess. Now he wondered what would happen when he successfully made the others leave the harem. Would any more accidents happen? Or would the harem members be switched with other people?

Feeling the elevator stop and the doors open, Kai lifted his head and stepped out into the hallway. Kai walked to the left when he noticed a sign that said where certain rooms where and started looking at the room numbers. He walked for a while before he saw the number 516.

Stopping outside the door, Kai heard voices talking inside. Thinking that Ian had woken up and was talking with the female lead Kai panicked and slammed the door open, only to freeze at what he saw inside.

Inside the room was a beautiful woman talking to a handsome man wearing a white doctor's coat. To the side of them in the hospital bed was an unconscious Ian hooked up to an IV. Ian's handsome face was deathly pale, he had cuts and bruises, a cervical collar, a cast on his left arm and his forehead was bandaged in a bloody gauze that needed changing.

Gasping at the sight of Ian, Kai ignored the two people in the room as he rushed to his side.

"Oh my god! Ian! What the hell happened to you?!" Kai said, a concerned look covering his beautiful and alluring features. When Lan said Ian had gotten hurt he didn't think it was going to be this serious!

Watching the beautiful boy that had run in, Emma frowned, jealous at the boy's ethereal beauty. Glancing from the corner of her eye, she saw Dr. Adam staring at the boy with a stunned look on his face.

"Doctor, what happened? Why is he like this?" Kai said, turning to look at the doctor and watching the female lead's face which had twisted into a frown.

Snapping out of his trance, Dr. Adam cleared his throat and walked near the boy. "Are you family of the patient?" he asked, his expressionless mask falling over his face as he conducted serious business.

"Yes! I'm Kai, his brother in law! Why is Ian here?" Kai asked.

"Mr. Ian was in a car accident this morning when he tried to save Miss Emma here" he said, motioning to Emma who was standing at his side, "from being run over by said car in an intersection. Sir, I will need you to call his immediate family. He has suffered a concussion, pelvic and cervical fracture, several broken ribs, and a broken arm. One of the broken ribs almost perforated his lungs. I was just talking with Miss Emma that he has to go through surgery in a few minutes to remove a blood clot that has formed in his brain and reconstruct several shattered rib bones." Dr. Adam said as Kai gasped and took out a clipboard with a paper on it. "I will need your signature for the operation"

Taking the clipboard from the doctor's hands Kai signed it and gave it back. Without looking at Emma, Kai took out his phone and pushed the speed dial button. Hearing the person answer at the second ring Kai felt tears come to his eyes.
