Arc 1.8: A Shitty School Romance

A while after the doctor left, Mr. Ivanov and Damyan also left because of either work or school.

Everything was quiet and peaceful after they left. Kai was with Nikolai and Liming was with Ian and the only one left out was the outsider, Emma.

Emma had been silent the whole time Ian woke up and the doctor arrived, so everyone had forgotten about the woman. 

Everyone but Kai.

He had payed close attention to Emma since he saw her in the hospital room. He even had Lan invisibly monitor her while they where together or in different rooms, so he knew that Emma had already seen how the Ivanov family was loaded and was making plans in her head. Kai was talking with Nikolai, telling him he was fine now and explaining how he found Ian when he saw Emma get up and silently walk to Ian and Liming.

"I want to apologize. It was my fault that Ian got hurt. If I had looked where I was walking none of this would have happened, I'm sorry." she said with her head lowered.

Ian just looked at her, a confused look on his face while Liming shook her head. "Don't worry child. It's no one's fault" she said waving her hand.

"Um, I have to go, but if it's not a bother, I would like to visit Ian later and bring him some homemade cookies as a thank you gift." she said biting her lip.

"Sure" Liming said, nodding at Emma. Turning to look at Ian, Emma mouthed a small thank you and left as Kai watched the whole thing with a raised eyebrow.

Feeling a tongue lick his ear, Kai snapped his head to look at Nikolai, shock clear on his blushing face. "Who are you looking at when I'm here?" Nikolai said, narrowing his eyes.

"No one important" Kai said, smiling at his lover's jealousy.

"Ok" Nikolai said as he gave him a kiss.

Laughing against the kiss, Kai pushed him off and tuned to look at Ian and Liming, walking towards them with a pouting Nikolai. Liming was smiling at the love birds while Ian was smirking at his brother. "I have to go home." Kai said, as he hugged Liming, "I'll come visit Ian later" he said as he smiled at them both, waving godbye.

Leaving the hospital, Kai smiled at Nikolai as they held hands the whole way and gave each other kisses completely ignoring the driver that was trying to ignore their lovey dovey actions.

Arriving at the Zhao home, Kai was about to open the door when he remembered the promise he made to his mother and turned to look at Nikolai.

"Hey, do you want to come over for dinner this weekend? My parents want to meet you" he said as he smiled at his lover.

"Sure" Nikolai said as he smiled at his baby.

Laughing, Kai gave him a kiss as he got off the car. Walking inside the home, Kai walked upstairs to change when he was pulled into a room in the hallway.

Scared, Kai did the first thing he thought of and without turning around, Kai shut his eyes and elbowed this assailant's stomach with all his strength. Hearing a "huff" come from behind him, Kai turned and kneed his face.

"Ow!" a voice Kai knew well sounded in the room.

Opening his eyes, Kai looked down at Eric in shock.

"Oh god! I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" Kai said, kneeling to look at Eric. Grimacing at Eric's bleeding nose, Kai got up and returned a few seconds later with tissues in his hands.

Kai tried to clean the blood when Eric hissed, grabbing Kai's wrist. Stopping what he was doing Kai locked gazes with Eric.

"I'm sorry. Still, why did you grab me anyway?" he said, confusion covering his alluring face only for shock to replace it as he was shut up by a pair of lips that fell over his.
