Sitting alone but I don't feel lonely
When sitting with you I yearn for company.
Surrounded by strangers I feel at peace
Surrounded by you makes no sense to me.
Hearing the world around me, knowing I am safe
Hearing you talk to me, knowing it's all fake.
So many people who know my story
Not one of them around me.
The security of anonymity
That I don't have when I'm with you.
So I choose to sit alone
Because I hate feeling lonely.
