Chapter 9

I always try to update daily. It's mostly after school though.~

Yuzu heard the phone ring and she picked it up

"Hello?"

"Hello, it's grandfather, Yuzu."

"What do you want?" Yuzu asked calmly, shutting her eyes in annoyance.

"Tomorrow, you'll be meeting the person who you would be marrying."

"Tomorrow?! That's way too early!" Yuzu almost screamed in the phone.

"Meet the person at a restaurant 3PM... Sharp. I'll let you leave school early." Grandfather sounded like he was losing his patience.

Click.

Yuzu put down the phone and laid on the bed and shut her eyes.

Is this how the Aihara's family always been?

Ding.

It was a text from Harumin.

Harumin: Yo, Yuzuchhi. You wanna hang out with me, Matsuri and the others?

Yuzu: No thanks. I'll hang out another time.

Harumin: Fine, I'll let you off this time

Yuzu shut off her phone, holding the power button.

She hugged her pillow and drifted off to sleep.

Mei's POV (finally.)

Yuzu held my held and said the last few words before leaving me

"You already chose your choice, Mei."

"Let's be sisters (too lazy to go back what Yuzu said.)

She ran off after that.

I widen my eyes in surprise.

Let's be sisters... Mei.

It echoed in my mind.

She was right. I did choose my choice but why? Why do I have a feeling that something bad will come back at me?

I couldn't bear watching her as JUST my sister.

But... I couldn't change that now. I just couldn't!

"MeiMei?" Momokino snapped me out of my trance.

"You're crying!" pointed out Momokino.

A tear trickled down my face.

I wiped it off before anybody else could notice.

"Whoever did this, I'll m-!"

I put up my hand, putting her quiet.

"Don't say that." I put down my hand and walked off.

"MeiMei, wait!"
