Chapter 20

Nearly a week has passed since Yuzu's grandfather told her that the wedding would be this week.

Yuzu sighed and shut the book she was reading at her apartment.

"Yuzu, two more days until the wedding comes." Yuniko, her fiancé say with a sad smile.

Yuzu nodded. She didn't want this.

"Tomorrow, we are planned to go on my private jet to the wedding. It's a few hours away." Yuniko playing with her fingers.

"What?! We're moving the wedding somewhere else? I thought'd it be here?" Yuzu said puzzled and angry at the same time.

Yuniko sighed "Yeah, its because of another wedding taking place on that day. I'm guessing that couple was rich enough for the plans to shoo us off."

"Why not a place else?" Yuzu asked.

"My family wants it somewhere.... luxurious."

Yuzu gritted her teeth and frowned.

"I don't want this..." Yuzu slowly said.

"Wha-?" Yuniko was cut off when Yuzu jumped up and hugged her making them both fall on the floor.

Yuniko looked up and squinted in pain "Oww... Are you alright, Yuzu?"

All she saw was Yuzu grasping her shirt and crying.

Yuniko patted Yuzu's head and whispered something that Yuzu couldn't make out.

"Sorry about that." Yuzu embarrassed at herself.

Yuniko nodded and faintly smiled.

She waved goodbye and left the apartment.

After Yuzu shut the door, she said "Tomorrow's the day, huh?"

She looked at her index finger.

It was the matching rings that she'd given Mei.

She held it near her, not letting go.

"I..." Yuzu trailed off, not knowing what to say.

All those memories flashed through her mind.

The vacation.

Meeting Mei's father.

Having her first kiss with Mei.

Yuzu laid down on the bed, hugging her pillow.

She suddenly cried for a reason she didn't know but that made her doze off dreaming about Mei.
