Mei's point of view. (For the whole chapter)
It was a few days after Yuzu told Mei what the wedding plans were and when.
"Mei?" Udagawa asked in a concerning voice.
"This is the third time you zoned out." He sighed
"I'm sorry, I just have something on my mind."
"This is really annoying, Mei." He said, chewing on some food he bought.
Mei was playing with her food.
"Mei? Just tell me what's on your mind." Udagawa smiled.
Mei shook her head "There's nothing-"
"Enough, Mei!" He yelled softly.
She was surprised, she never seen Udagawa yelling before.
"I'm sorr-"
"Excuse me, I need to use the restroom." He stood up and walked out.
Mei sighed and played with her food.
She took a grasp on top of her shirt below her head.
Why is it aching here? Mei thought.
She decided to take some fresh air out on the balcony to wait for Udagawa.
~
The breeze out made her feel refreshed.Mei spotted someone.
It was Yuzu.
"Who is she with?" Mei whispered.
She squinted her eyes and saw it was Yuniko.
Mei sighed and looked at them.
"It's not my business anyways." She muttered.
She took grasp of her shirt again. This time tightly and harder.
"Why does it hurt me so much though?" Mei whispered again.
Yuzu was smiling and having fun.
Mei... just had an argument with Udagawa.
She closed her eyes and leaned out into the balcony.
"Things... aren't going so well." Mei said loudly.
She wondered about what she was doing to do with her and Yuzu's relationship.
Udagawa stepped out into the balcony.
"There you are, Mei!" He said.
Mei turned around "I-"
He scratched the back of his head "I'm sorry for rushing out of the dining room. I just want you to be happy."
Mei rested her arms on the fence around the balcony.
She didn't know what made her happy.
