Am I losing you

In the wake of

My lost sanity?

We keep drifting

Like opposites poles

We've always been

A chasm forming

Between our minds

THUNDER

In my head? The

when the floodgates

O p e n  forthright

A H E A D

Nothing has changed

Since the beginning

When you thought

YOU KNEW

My reality, when you

Danced at the altar of

IGNORANCE

Carving out my wings

Feather by feather with

DILIGENCE

Now my false wings

Fallen, burned, torn to

S H R E D S

I'm no longer the same

Spotless, carefree soul

I'm just me, full to the brim

Of dents and human

IMPERFECTIONS

Take it or leave it

It's all I have got

A lost cause’s better

Than trying to be

Someone
