It is strange when you ponder
All those years in just a blink
Ups and downs wrongs and rights
Passed swifter than you think
When you look back and you smile
At those days that seemed to pain
Every moment was worthwhile
Every second a prize to gain
When the sky was dark and frightening
Someone was there by your side
Each thunderous bolt of lightning
Their loving hands were your guide
When you linger on the present
And your love is always present
Grateful you look to the heavens
Bestowing upon you such present
Thanks and prayers not enough
For the easy and the tough
Hardships pale and evanesce
In the Kaleidoscope of love
When we blow these candles now
We'll be renewing our vow
Seventeen going on seventy
We'll be getting there somehow
