Final Note

Dear esteemed readers, guests, and Uncle Dwight-

I really wanted to heave a huge thank you straight at each of you, my love for this story and each of you is beyond words. I know that it's just a story, just two books that aren't that popular, or amazing, but a huge piece of my life revolves around my love for writing and the characters I create. To see it end like this, and have even a few people follow that journey... It's fucking wicked, if I'm honest.

I know that not everyone will understand how the story ended, so I'll explain a bit now!

To keep things simple, nothing in this book that happened was really happening. Woojin's mind created a world for him to live in and remain happy with Jihoon after he discovered that the love of his life had passed.

Furthermore, though I didn't really touch too hard on it, Jihoon did kill himself shortly after his debut. I know while he and Woojin discuss Woojin's sister's death, Jihoon makes the comment of "Well she didn't choose to die" insinuating that Sungwoon killed himself. But as I said, none of that is real, and it's actually Jihoon that killed himself in late September.

We don't know the truth until Woojin is admitted into the hospital, and Sungwoon comes to visit. In the month that Woojin had spent after returning to Korea, he was attending therapy with his friends, but the shock of Jihoon's death altered his mind's ability to cope, and thus in his mind, Jihoon was still alive, they were still trying their hardest to love, and they were causing all sorts of trouble.

Really, it may feel a bit confusing, and I'm sorry for that. It was a rather sudden jolt to bring Sungwoon back, and it was not whatsoever part of ANY of my plans. But based on how I've created my characters, I knew deep down that 2PARK could never find true happiness after everything that happened, or what promised to happen in the future.

(Also, Daniel is "The other boyfriend" Jihoon eludes to when Woojin demands to know whether he and Nayoung are together... Yeah reread the damn book and you'll get it)

~The Ending~

The ending was left open to interpretation. Jinyoung and Woojin ride in the backseat together, finding comfort in one another. I will not create another story or book dedicated to what happens next, it's up to you to decide. They could become close because of their common traumas, they could fall in love because of their newfound friendship. They could kill one another in the end if you so choose.

Again, I just wanted to tell everyone how important and fuckin' sick y'all are. Each commentor makes me smile beyond relief, even the ones that are just a straight up "WHAT".
