"he will take the surgery" i told them
"but the surgery might fail and--" before jake's dad could finish, i cut him off
"NO! jake is having this surgery! we have a 1% chance he will make it, and 1% is better than having no chances! he's having this surgery" i told them and looked deep into their eyes
jake's dad sighed. "fine, he'll have the surgery"
we called dr. tores and a few minutes later, she came in.
"hello, did you make your decision?" she asked
"yes, jake will be having this surgery" i told her
"alright, please wait patiently, this opperation takes about 48 hours, be prepared. if there's anything you need, there's a cafeteria on the 2nd floor" dr. tores and them headed out the door
we all noded and went back down to the waiting room.

"hey baby sis" kevin said as he scooted over with madison in his arms
"hey kevin" i told him and did a small, but fake smile
"he'll be fine. he's strong enough to fight this. and he's smart enough not to go into the light" he told me and squeezed my hand
~ 48 hours later ~
dr. tores came walking towards us and all our heads shot up.
"did.. he um.... make it?" i asked with teary eyes
"i'm so sorry, we did everything we can" dr. tores told us and looked down.
NO! NO!
"NOOOOO!!!!" i screamed and dropped to my knees
"NO!! JAKE CAN'T BE DEAD!" i screamed again
"i'm sorry" dr. tores whispered to me
"but.... but...... he's going.. he's going.... he's going to be a f-f-father....."
"i'm pregnant! and he's the father"
