Finn’s POV
I wake up to see Millie still sleeping on my shoulder. Cute. Why am I having these thoughts? She’s literally my best friend. I can’t have those feelings for her, there is no way.
“Morning.” Gaten says, groggily sitting up.
“Morning.” I reply.
“Who is awake?” He asks, rubbing his eyes.
“Uhhh…” I say whilst looking around. “I think we’re the only ones awake.”
“Wanna go outside?” He asks. I nod, and gently scoot millie’s head off of my lap.
We walk outside and begin to talk.
“Ok, so I kinda need to get something off of my chest.” Gaten begins. “I like Lizzy.”
“NO WAY!” I say sarcastically. Gaten rolls his eyes.
“Ok yeah, it’s super obvious, but it’s more than that. I really like her, but she doesn’t seem very interested in me...she seems kinda interested in Noah.”
“Dude, Noah literally told us last night that he was gay, why would she be interested in him?” I say.
“Well that doesn’t mean anything. Guys can be just as attractive when they’re gay. Like have you seen-”
“Dude, don’t even finish that sentence or you’re gonna sound gay.” I laugh.
“You sound gay!” He fires back.
“Yeah, um no, I’m definitely interested in girls.” I say.
“Oh yeah, who?” He asks.
“Well I-”
“Morning guys.” Millie says, walking through the door, rubbing her eyes.
“M-morning, Mills.” I smile. “How are you feeling?”
“I feel pretty good, but I have to go to chemo today.” She says.
“Oof.” Gaten says.
“It’s more than an oof, gaten.” I laugh.
“Much more than an oof.” Millie giggles along. “The others are still sleeping inside, but I say we get breakfast started.” She says. We nod, and head back inside.

“So when did you start to realize?” Sadie asks Noah, while she takes a bite of her waffle.
“Well I was at school a few months ago, and I saw a guy and I started to feel… different...than I usually did. I saw him and I just saw him as more attractive than normal. Then I started thinking about it, and it wasn’t like I was just thinking he was attractive, I was attracted to him…” He explains.
“Huh...who?” Gaten asks.
“Jaeden Lieberher.”
“OH I KNOW HIM! Yeah we are really close!” I smile.
“So, do you know?” Noah asks.
“Know if what?”
“He’s...gay…” Noah laughs.
“I actually think he might be. I’m not positive though. I can ask him.” I reply.
“Ok yeah, you totally should, but like ask him discreetly. Be like, ‘so have you seen any girls you’ve been looking at?’ or some way to see if he is.” Lizzy suggests. We all nod, and continue to eat.
