Millie's POV
We've all been sitting in homeroom for a while just talking, when Mr. Keery interrupts us to introduce a new person.
"Hey everyone! I would like to introduce your new classmate, Rowan." Mr. Keery says. "Rowan, you can go sit next to Finn and Millie over there. Finn, Millie, raise your hands." We raise our hands, and Rowan makes our way towards us. She sits down and shyly smiles at us. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and two dimples on her cheeks.
"Hi I'm Millie." I smile.
"I'm Finn." He says, poking his head out from the side of me. Her eyes widen as her cheeks turn a light shade of pink when she discovers Finn.
"I'm Rowan, but Mr. Keery already covered that." Rowan giggles.
Riiiiiiing
"Bye Rowan!" Finn and I say as we wave and exit through the sea of people.
"Bye!" She calls after us.
"She seems nice." Finn says.

Finn's POV
We are finally at lunch. I'm sitting next to Noah and Millie who is sitting next to Sophia, Gaten is sitting with Lizzy, and Caleb is sitting with Sadie. I watch as Millie talks about something that happened while she was on facetime with Maddie and Lilia. She's adorable when she blabbers. I just want to kiss her but I don't think that would be the best idea since nobody knows.
"So then Maddie was like 'oh my gosh jack youre so cute' then she just kissed him right there. Like dude I didn't facetime you just to watch you kiss your boyfriend." She laughs.
"Finn are you ok?" Caleb asks.
"What? Yeah, I'm fine." I say, snapping out of my trance.
"You were kinda staring at Millie." Gaten chuckles, causing Millie to blush.
"No I was not." I enforce as I pull out my phone to text Millie.
Finn: I totally was ;)
Mills: you doof
I look up at her and she's giggling adorably.
"Hey guys. Can I sit with you?" A voice says from behind me. I turn around to see Rowan, holding her lunch tray.
"Uhh...sure." I say. Millie scoots over to clear a space for her, but she goes the other way to sit by me, so I scoot over.
"Hey Rowan!" Lizzy smiles. Rowan waves and takes a bite of her food.
Rowan's POV
I look around in the lunchroom to find someone to sit with. I finally spot the people from my homeroom, including the cute one. I think his name was Finn.
"Hey guys. Can I sit with you?" I say from behind Finn.
"Uhh...sure." Finn says. Millie scoots over for me to sit next to her but I wanna sit next to Finn.
"Hey Rowan!" Lizzy says. I wave and take a bite of my lunch. I look at Finn studying all of his features.
Is this weird? I met him this morning.
"So Rowan, where are you from?" Finn asks.
"Well I just moved here from New York. My best friends Sabrina, Peyton, and Corey lived there so I'm a bit sad that I'm not with them anymore." I explained.
"I've heard that there are some cute boys in New York. Did you have a boyfriend?" Sadie smirks.
"No. Me and Peyton kinda had a thing, but it was never official." I say with everyone nodding. "But I'm totally up for relationships." I say as I smirk at Finn while giving him a small wink.
I notice Finn whisper something to Millie. Millie nods, and they both stand up.
"Bye guys. We are gonna go to the vending machine." Finn says, waving to all of us as we all wave back.
Millie's POV
"Can we go? Rowan is kinda weirding me out." Finn whispers to me. I nod and we stand up.
"Bye guys. We are gonna go to the vending machine." Finn says as we walk away.
"So what's wrong with Rowan?" I ask.
"Nothing is wrong with her, but she's been giving me weird looks all day..." Finn explains.
"What do you mean weird looks?" I question.
"Like creepy, flirty things. Like when she said she is totally up to relationships she smirked and winked at me..." He says.
"That's weird."
"Yeah, just a bit. I wanted to get away cuz she's kinda freaking me out." Finn says. I nod.

"Why don't you have hair?" Rowan asks.
"I was diagnosed with Leukemia in July..." I explain.
"Oh." She says, kinda looking away in disgust. I feel my face heat up in embarrassment. I feel my eyes well up with tears. Rowan literally just came to this school and she is already deciding to be disgusted by me...sometimes I really hate my life. Suddenly I realise tears are running down my cheeks.
I run to the music room, and hide in the corner. The music room has kinda become my safe place whenever I need to cry or just think.
Finn's POV
"Hey Rowan, where is Millie?" I ask.
"I don't know. She just kinda ran off after I asked why she has no hair." She explains.
"She's extremely sensitive about that." I say. Rowan shrugs, causing me to roll my eyes. She's nice but she's really getting on my nerves. The music room. She usually goes there when she's upset.
I run to the music room and it is dark. I can't see anything, but I can hear small sniffles coming from the corner by the piano and the guitars.
"Finn?" I hear from the corner.
"Yeah, Mills?" I respond. I walk over and sit by her with very little space in between our faces. My hands go around her hips as her breath hitches. Her arms come around my neck and she closes the space between us. She climbs onto my lap making the kiss more passionate. Her hands come up in my hair, as she continues to kiss me.
We pull apart from the kiss with our foreheads connected. I see the edges of her lips curl up into a smile, and I do the same.
"Thanks for making me feel better." She smiles.
