Bad Blood

Chapter 2

Kol said" Well, well, well, there's our girl." As Rebekah walked in, he stood and blocked her.
She said" Get out of my way, Kol."
" Out all night. What a scandal. I trust you did better than that commoner. Matt, was it?"
" If you don't shut your mouth, the next thing to come out of it will be your teeth. Don't start, Nik."
Nik said" I didn't say anything." Kol fell onto me, I groaned then sat on the seat's arm.
Kol said" I'm bored. Our sister is a strumpet, but at least she's having fun. I need entertainment."
" What are you waiting for? Go on. Have at it."
" It's no fun to go alone. Join me, Nik. It's the least you could do after sticking a dagger in my heart." I smiled, looking at Kol,
" Okay, why not? I didn't have nearly enough to drink last night, what with you trying to murder Rebekah's date."
Rebekah said" Yes, please go. This house has enough men rolling around in it." Kol turned to her,
He said" Just like you, Bekah." She threw her shoe at the door,
" Good riddance, both of you."
" Twin!" I smiled at Bekah then followed Kol and Nik out the door.

We walked into The Grille, and to the bar,
Nik said" Let's not go blaming the new family in town just 'cause you lot have got yourselves a killer at large. Don't mind us. My brother, sister and I are just here to let off some steam. Right, Kol?"
Kol said" Right." I rolled my eyes as he kept his stare on the poor girl.

I tried to leave them, but Kol grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me back.
I said" Come on, let me go, I'd rather much be across the earth now."
He said" But?"
" But... I wouldn't dare leave my twin with that lunatic next to you."
Nik said" Thank you, sister." I groaned then took his drink, he tsk'd then laughed at me. I gulped the drink down,
" If I'm stuck here with you two, I'm going to need courage."

Kol said" I remember her from last night. She looks like a tasty little thing." Nik's little crush walked toward us,
Nik said" Say another word, and I'll tear out your liver. Caroline."
Caroline said" Oh. It's you."
" Join us for a drink?"
" Mm, I'd rather die of thirst, but thanks."
" Isn't she stunning?"
" She certainly looks good walking away from you."
" I'll take that as a challenge."
I said" Nik, please-"
" I'll be back soon." He walked away, following Caroline,
" Why did you do that, Kol?"
Kol said" Because he fancies her, of course."
" But that doesn't mean she fancies him back..."
" He'll be fine, he knows how to handle himself... I mean, he-"
" Say he daggered us, and I swear I'll rip out your lungs." He smiled at me, kissing my head," You may know your way around girls, twin, but I am a girl who will never be wrapped around your fingers or be begging of your approval." He sighed, then smirked at me,
" Twins?"
" Yes, my dear fox."
" Madam Bad Blood."

Kol was trying to chat with the woman from earlier but was utterly failing, and he won't take the hint. I started to walk to him, but was stopped by the man, Alaric.
He said" So, you're one of them?"
I said" But far more understanding, unlike my twin, so if you'd excuse me, I'll go and get him, and we'll be on our way." He looked at me, I saw a hint of sadness in his eyes," What is it? That look?"
" You don't know, do you?"
" Know what?"
" Your mother's trying to kill you." He walked off, I followed behind him, then I seen Kol get daggered. I hissed then sped to him, then everything went black.
We awoke and Elijah filled us in, and told us the plan. Once we got to where they were,
Mother said" My sons and daughter, come forward."
Finn said" Stay beside me."
" It's okay. They can't enter."
Kol said" That's lovely. We're stuck out here while the favorite son plays sacrificial lamb. How pathetic you are, Finn."
" Be quiet, Kol. Your brother knows virtue you cannot even imagine."
Elijah said" Whatever you think of us, killing your own children would be an atrocity."
" My only regret is that I did not let you die a thousand years ago."
Nik said" Enough. All this talk is boring me. End this now, mother, or I'll send you back to hell."
" For a thousand years, I've been forced to watch you, felt the pain of every victim, suffered while you shed blood. Even you, Elijah, with your claim to nobility, you're no better. All of you... you're a curse on this earth stretched out over generations. If you've come to plead for your life... I'm sorry. You've wasted your time. No! Sisters, do not abandon me!"
Finn said" Mother!" Then fire light up, I covered my face, when we looked up, Ester and Finn were gone.

We got back to the mansion, Kol looked at me,
I said" Let's go, now, come on." He grabbed my hand," Twins?"
He said" Twins." Then we sped off, leaving Mystic Falls in our wake.
