Many months...almost a full year and here I was. Sitting down; minutes from throwing my cap in the air with the rest of my class. I looked back at my family. They smiled and waved like crazy. I looked at Millie.

M: It's the end for everyone at last Anna.

A: This is all we have worked for.

M: To be the class of 2019 (just pretendddd)

[P=principal]

P: Now students if you will please release your caps on the air as I have now released you into the world of adulthood.

Everyone cheered as we threw up our caps. The dim light making every cap look like a dark star. Flying up and back down.

It was over.

I looked at Millie and smiled.

We had survived....
pre school....elementary...middle school....high school....and now....we were off.

<One week later>

I hugged Millie tighter.

A: I am gonna miss you so FUCKEN much.

M: Same here. Call everyday?

A: Of course

M: Good. I don't want you forgetting about me

A: How could I ever?!?!

M: Good Point I am pret-ty amazing.

We giggled and finally pulled away from our hug. I looked at her face she tried to hold a smile as did I. I was gonna miss my best friend.

D: Are you sure you have everything?

A: Yes Daniel.

My boyfriend giggled at me and handed me a bag.

D: The hoodies and cologne you requested my love. Don't be gone too long.

A: You both realize I am only unpacking and staying for 2 warm up weeks. I'll be back before school actually starts. And plus. I AM 4 hours AWAY!

M: We know—-

D: We are just—

M: Gonna miss you

D: A lot—

A: God dammit—

Tears rolled down my cheeks. No matter how many days it is.

A: I will miss you guys. I'll be back in 2 weeks.

I hugged Millie again and then kissed Daniel.
We pulled away and he removed a strand of hair from my face. Our foreheads touched.

D: I love you my cutie

A: I love you too dani.

M: I'll keep him in check for you

A: Thanks

D: I am an adult

We both giggled and pulled our touching heads away he kissed me again. I smiled at them both as I got into the drivers seat of my car.
I started to drive away. I looked back at my parents my best friend and my boyfriend waving sadly. Once I had turned the street. The image of my loved ones were gone.
