Maddie's POV

"Today, I will tell you" she said
"I'm all ears" I sat down to listen to their interesting love story.
"When I got pregnant with you, we were very happy, until the day your father said I'm cheating on him and the pregnancy is not his. He kicked me out of the house. I was depressed and wanted to commit suicide but I realized I have to be strong for my unborn baby that was you.
After your birth, your father came back to apologize but I sacked him. He continued to beg for forgiveness but I told him to get lost because we don't need him. the day that he sacked me out of the house, I nearly got raped by some gang in the middle of the night because I didn't have any place go. I was praying for help and God heard my prayers, a man came to rescue me. He send me to his house and took care of me till I gave birth. I swore never to forgive your father", she sighed

"But mom, why did you forgive dad?" I asked her
"I chose to forgive him because it wasn't his fault neither mine . Someone tried to separate us.  That's why I don't want to you to do the same mistake I almost did", she smiled
I looked at curiously and asked her what mistake she almost did. She told that " l forbid your father from meeting you and almost got married to the man who helped me. I knew your father was my happiness but I decided to marry another to make him your father. But on our wedding day, the man who helped me didn't show up, it was your father who was standing at the altar. 
"What!!!" I was surprised and asked her to tell me more.
"I quickly run out of the church to search for my groom but I saw him standing near his car. I quickly went to him and ask him why he did that to me. But he told me that he has leukemia and he is dying soon. He advices me to go back to your father because he knows that we still love each other very much but I'm marrying him because of my child. So I asked him to walk me to the altar and he said yes. your Father and I got married. Now I hope you won't let the enemies ruin your family" she concluded
"But mom , your love story is different from mine. And I'm not ready to go back to him even though I still love him. 
"Honey, go and think about it very well, I know you are hurt that's why you are talking like this. but If you were in his shoes , you would have acted worse than what he did. I'm not trying to defend him but I want you to be happy. Everyone makes mistakes, so try to work things out with him. You can even play hard to get if you want" she chuckled.
"Okay mom I will think about everything" I kissed her cheeks.
I was about to leave and I remembered to ask her the name of the man who helped.
"Mom, what is the name of the man who helped you"
"He's called Matthew. Would like to visit his grave?"she asked
"Yes" I nodded and left

I went to my room, I couldn't sleep. I kept thinking about what Ethan said. Should I go with him or not? I asked myself. If I go with him it means that I'm a cheap girl right?  God, I don't know what to do. I want my son to be happy and he's my happiness too.  I have to go with him. I'm going with him because of the imbecile Mason. I have to make him pay for what he did to us. Tomorrow, I will say yes to Ethan. As for Ethan, I will make his life a living hell, I smirked to myself.
