Nandito kami sa hotel na katamtaman lang ang layo sa bahay ni Cross. Sinama ko si Daniel dahil nadamay narin naman siya, which I regret actually because he keeps on nagging about what is happening. Matapos ang insidente ay agad kong tinawagan si Boss. Nailigpit na nila ang mga bangkay without the police intervening. They know their limits.

Right now I'm talking to Boss.

"I've already cleaned the mess Misaki. Pasalamat kang walang nakasaksi, apparently almost everyone in the subdivision attended a party. Lucky you. Except for the fact na di mo namalayang nakatakas ang driver ng van" Boss said in a deep intimidating tone.

"Yeah, I guess. Sorry, Boss. But right now, I have to tell Cross everything and his friend na nakasaksi sa pangyayari. I can't just leave him, lalo na't posibleng nakita nung driver ang mukha ni Daniel. I can't take the risk baka siya pa ang puntiryahin or his family. Buti nalang nag outing yung pamilya nya sa US" Napasulyap ako sa dalawa na nasa couch, an unreadble expression plastered on their faces. I know they're confused as hell right now.

"Wise decision. Rig----

My eyebrows furrowed. Putok na ng baril ang naririnig ko.

"Boss? Hello? What's happening?!" I shouted at the other line. Narinig ko ang mga mura ni Boss, mga pagsabog at napakaraming putok ng baril. What the fuck. This could not be happening right now.

"Apparently, we've underestimated the Kayasa Gang and they've found us, Misaki. Timing pa na almost half of the employees are on a holiday" Boss said through gritted teeth. He was breathing hard at nangangati na akong tulungan sila.

"Pupunta ako diyan" I say firmly, a little nervous. Kahit papano naman pamilya ko rin sila. And if they need help, I'll fucking come.

"No" he cuts with such firmness in his voice. "Right now, I entrust Mr. Cross Villaverde's and Daniel's safety to you. I don't know when I can contact you next time or if I'm still alive to do that. Just focus on finding the treasures dahil mas delikado kung sila ang makakauna"

"But,"

"No buts, I trust in you Agent Chitoge. The whole agency depends on you" he cuts me off and with just like that he hung up. I didn't call him back kasi alam ko na huli na yun. Boss is smart, he knows what to do. I hope he's safe. What am I thinking, he's in that position for a reason. I know he's capable of taking care of himself and also of the agency. Pero di ko parin maiwasang mag-alala lalo na sa ibang employees and to think na heavily secured ang agency pero na track down parin nila and they've barged in.

"Shit" mahina kong mura. The events are fastly escalating. One minute, I was taking a leave enjoying myself and now once again I've managed to put myself in the middle of this mess.

Hinarap ko na sina Daniel (who apparently stopped nagging, thank God) and Cross who was silent since the ride here.

Umupo ako sa kaharap na couch at tinignan silang dalawa.

"Could you fucking explain what the the fuck is happening?" Cross finally asked in a not so kind way. I'll let this one pass. He's confused and messed up right now.

"We've just caught ourselves in a very complicated situation" I simply say putting my cellphone on the table.

"Care to elaborate?" He raised his eyebrows. Daniel leaned close curiously.

I sighed. Took a deep breath and explained everything. I'm not really good at story-telling.

".....so right now, we have to find out where Cross' dad hid the treasure first before those assholes do" I finished. Scratch that, I hate story-telling. Cross looked as if he expected this and Daniel looked.....like he's taking a shit. To put it simply.

"Whoah. Whoah. Whoah. So, you're like a secret agent or something? Kaya pala marunong kang magpaputok ng baril!" Maang na sabi ni Daniel.

"Yeah, basically. And I can do much more than firing a gun, Daniel" I winked at him and leaned back into the couch.

"What the heck. This is like one of those action movies! At parte ako! Shit! Pic tayo guys!" Daniel rose from his seat looking somewhat excited and fishing out his phone from his pocket.

Poor Daniel. He doesn't know what he got himself into. He could be killed or tortured because he's now part of this.

"I knew it. Kaya pala Dad seemed so secretive and that he's seldom home. Last time I saw him he was all panicky" I hear Cross say.

"Did he tell you where he kept those?" Pagtutukoy ko sa treasures. Napaisip siya.

"Actually, hindi. Heck, I don't even know he's a damn gang leader"

Damn. This is gonna be difficult.

"Look, I know this is a lot to take in. So for now, let's rest for a while. We've got a long day tomorrow" Sabi ko sabay tayo. Dumiretso ako sa kama at doon lang sila matutulog sa sahig o sa couch. Di naman sila umangal na nasa isang kwarto kami because I've already explained how dangerous it is. Come on, we're against the infamous foreign gang assholes.

"Wait pano yung pic?" Pahabol na tanong ni Daniel hawak hawak ang phone niya.

"Matulog ka nalang Daniel" I waved him off.

I stopped near Cross who seemed to think deeply.

"Try to think of some clues or possible places where he kept those riches" sabi ko sa kanya saka umalis na papuntang kama. I dove unto the soft covers, clearly exhausted. My eyes close and everything turned to darkness.

<2:30 a.m>

My eyes fluttered open. My throat was dry. I groaned and after 5 minutes of just lying there, I decided to get up and drink some water. Buti nalang may mini fridge dito.

Napatigil ako ng mapansin na bukas ang bintana at nakitang may taong nakaupo at nakatingin sa buwan. My agent senses kicked in but I calmed myself ng makitang si Cross lang pala.

I slowly approached him.

"Why aren't you sleeping? We still have a long day tomorrow" I say as I reached him.

"I can't. I keep on thinking about....things" he replied glancing at me and back to the sky.

"I understand you. Pero Cross, I promise everything will be better and back to normal someday" I sighed looking upa at the sky also. The sky is starless and everything seemed so calm.

"Maybe" he smiled faintly.

"Yeah. Good night" aalis na sana ako ng hilahin niya ang kamay ko.

Napatingin ako sa mga mata niya at pansamantalang napigilan. His touch was sending electricities through my veins. I don't understand this.

"Thank you" nginitian niya ako. "For being there I know it's your job but still and also thank you for saving my ass. I owe you for that, Diana-" napatigil siya at napaisip. "Or whatever your name is"

I chuckled.

"Your welcome" I gave him a genuine smile. "Call me Misaki. Misaki Chitoge"
