Chara paced around his small room. It all stopped when Toriel came in.
Toriel: I know you're worried.... we all are, my child. Just, please.. let us help.
Chara: Ok.. but, this Bete Noire is like, everywhere. It's almost unpredictable. We need a plan.
Toriel: Well if that's the case, you need all the help you can get!!
Chara: No! Bete Noire only wants one thing: my DETERMINATION. I don't need more people getting killed in attempt to defeat it.
Toriel: But you can get hurt, my child.
Chara: ......
Toriel wraps her arms around Chara
Toriel: Please, I don't want to lose the only child I have left. I need you to take all the help you can get. I want Asriel back.
Toriel starts to sob.
Chara: Fine. I'll take the help. And we will for sure get Asriel back.
Toriel's face brightens due to hearing the good news.
Papyrus comes running in.
Papyrus: GUYS!!! THE THING IS HERE!!!
Toriel: What? Wait- you don't mean-
Chara: You're kidding!!
Papyrus: I'M REALLY SERIOUS!!!
Chara: Ok...
Papyrus: JUST TAKE A LOOK THROUGH THE WINDOW!!!
Chara slowly walks to the window, looking at Papyrus's direction and making a 'bich really' face at him. She turned her head to see what was out the window and gasped.
Chara: OHMYGOSH IT'S REALLY HERE PAPYRUS WAS RIGHT I AM SO WRONG WAIT WHO IS THAT BLUE GIRL IS SHE TEAMING UP WITH THE THING WHY WHAT DO I DO I'M NOT EVEN READY FOR THIS I DID NOT HAVE ANY TIME TO OREPARERPEPPRPWLSABURRITO
Toriel: Chara, calm down. This is a change of plans. You have to go down there and improvise.
Chara: Fruck
Toriel: GO!! We'll be watching.
Chara walks out of the house and approaches Betty
Betty: Ha! You've actually came!
Chara: First of all, why are you here? Out of all the places and all the times. Also, who is that? I've never seen her before.
Betty frowned.
Betty: Aren't you a human? You've read the history books, right?
Chara: Well-
Chara finally realizes
Chara: Is that, Amber?!?!
Betty and Amber: YES
Chara: B-but how?!?! She died many years ago...
Betty: Well what if I told you there was a way to-
Amber: shhh!! 🤫 Don't tell him!!
Betty: Right...
