[Draco and Hermione] Catch Me When I Fall

Chapter 6

Rolling over in bed the next morning she slowly blinked open her eyes and saw the sun streaming in through the window.

She sighed and rubbed her eyes as her mind wandered back to the party yesterday.

He crashed his lips against hers in a passionate embrace as at first she was stunned, her eyes wide. She then remembered who would have been watching and let herself push into him, closing her eyes and wrapping both arms around his neck as his other arm rested in her back between her shoulders.

'She-she's kissin' him!' She heard Ron say with an angry tone in his voice from across the room. 'Bloody hell she's all over him!'

'Honey look, Hermione and Draco make a lovely couple,' came Luna's sing song voice.

Another camera flash pulled Draco and Hermione apart and look around before looking at each other.

Hermione's cheeks were crimson red as Draco leant down and whispered in her ear just as another flash from the camera went off.

'I think that did the job, lets get out of here, don't look at anyone just nod, then look toward the weasel!' He whispered.

He pulled back and Hermione immediately nodded with a smirk on her face. Draco entwined her fingers through Draco's before glancing over at Ron who was glaring at them and Harry and Ginny who's mouths were open in shock as they made their way toward the exit.

But not before stopping and saying their goodbyes and thank you's to Luna and Blaise.

They disapparated back to Draco's apartment and Hermione instantly pulled her hand from his and moved away, glaring at him.

'How dare you!' She began to shout as her cheeks blushed again but this time she was angry with him. 'How dare you... you filthy...'

'Don't tell me you didn't enjoy that Granger!' Draco smirked, tilting his head slightly to one side.

Hermione screwed her nose up. She didn't want Malfoy to know it but she actually did enjoy it, a bit too much.

'Enjoy it! NO! You had no right!' She yelled before turning on her heels to storm off but Draco grabbed her arm and swung her back around to face him.

'WHA-' he crashed his lips onto hers once more. She hadn't even realised how close he had moved to her.

She kissed him back, but only for a moment before she made a half whimper and pulled back, looking at the smile spreading across his face.

'GAH!' She yelled as she turned and stormed off toward her room, hearing Draco laugh from behind her.

She ran a finger over her lips and smiled gently before shaking her head. 'No, Hermione get a grip!' She muttered to herself.

'You can't trust him... definitely can't trust him... he's... well he's Malfoy for starters!'

She climbed out of bed and looked in the mirror at her bushy brown locks and smiled. Picking up her phone she finally turned it on.

Once it was on she looked at it as missed call after missed call vibrated and messages started coming through one after the other.

Missed calls from Harry and Ginny made her smile and a couple of missed calls from last night from Luna and a number she knew as the Daily Prophet.

How in the world did they get my number? She wondered to herself with a frown.

The last message on her phone made her eyes widen.

It was from Ron.

She clicked on it and opened it and began to read the message.

Hermione, I'm sorry! I didn't know what came over me and I hate that I hurt you. I love you. I saw you with Malfoy last night and it made me realise I want you back.

That kiss with Lavender never meant a thing to me, and I don't even know why I did it but please I'm begging. Come to dinner tonight at home, I'll cook your favourite, 7pm. If you haven't arrived by 8pm then I'll know your answer.

Hermione sighed and looked up, tears were stinging her eyes.

What was she going to do?

He was making himself a cup of tea when he heard someone apparate into his apartment. Turning he saw Ginny with two bags in her hands.

'Did you get everything?' He asked as his sister nodded and headed into the kitchen and putting the groceries on the bench in front of him.

'You'd better not stuff this up tonight Ronald!' Ginny warned sternly as she glared at her brother.

'I do not want to see last nights events again!'

'Bloody hell Ginny, that... it's burned into me head,' Ron moaned with a shudder. 'I told her if she hasn't turned up by 8 then I know she's not coming...' Ron sat his mug down as Ginny nodded.

'I tried to find Malfoy's place so I could go and talk some... well some sense into Mione but no one would tell me, even Blaise and Luna said to let it go! Can you believe that!' Ginny mumbled as Ron scoffed.

'Bloody git, I cant believe she's staying with Malfoy! Bloody Malfoy... why couldn't she go to her parents house... I mean the Ministry restored their memories after the battle ended,'

'I don't think she wanted us to find her Ron, that's why she turned her phone off to, anyway I have to be off, I'm meeting Harry for breakfast,' she said as she smiled at Ron before disapparating out of the apartment, leaving Ron looking around the empty place.

Later that afternoon she was sitting on the couch reading the daily prophet. Of course Hermione and Draco's passionate kiss was front page news. A moving picture of them kissing along with a full length article was something Hermione did not want to read.

She had only glanced at parts of the article.

War heroine dating former death eater?

That was the headline, which kind of made Hermione giggle. Draco didn't lie when he asked if she was ready to turn heads and shock.

She looked up to see Draco shuffling down the hall toward her, rubbing the sleep from his eyes to wake himself up.

Even with messy disheveled hair he was quite handsome, once again he wasn't wearing a shirt and Hermione gaze moved down to his physique.

'Like what you see Granger?' Draco asked as Hermione's eyes shot back up to Draco who was smirking at her.

Their eyes locked across the room and she sat the paper down, then she just blurted the words out.

'Ronald wants me to come to dinner tonight!'
